After Emerson exited, Kisa followed haste to grab Elaine and take her somewhere to talk.

Upstairs, Grey had just gotten out of the shower after a quick rinse and finished changing. Her hair was still wet but individual curls were drying and springing up into natural state. She hummed to herself as she tied her shoes, ready to resume her day with Emerson.

Elaine looked at Kisa, her gaze demanding an explanation.

"What's going on?" She asked.

Meanwhile, Emerson stormed back upstairs, wondering if he could really trust Kisa to tell Grey everything. He doubted it. He thought maybe he should tell Grey about what he saw...but he didn't want to ruin her day. He let out an annoyed huff of confusion as he headed towards Grey's room

Kisa couldn't hide her distress, her tone obviously having shifted from earlier.

"Elaine, I'm so sorry...Can you please come with me? I want to talk to you about something." Kisa asked.

Grey looked up when she saw Emerson approach her room. She smiled and gave a quick wave.

"Hi, is everything packed?" She signed to him.

"About what? What's going on, Kisa?" Elaine shook her head, still very confused and taken aback by the situation.

Emerson looked at Grey and tried to hide his distress, but he felt his facial muscles betraying him as he frowned heavily.

"The subject is very sensitive, I think it best we step outside before we talk." Kisa pressed, gesturing at the sliding glass door that led to the backyard.

Grey noted Emerson's expression and became concerned.

"Hey, what's wrong?" She signed to him.

"I...okay." Elaine conceded and went to follow Kisa, mostly just wanting answers.

Emerson stared at Grey, debating once again if he should tell her or not. On one hand, by telling her, she'd know the truth and would be able to sort things out quicker, whether she stayed with Kisa or not. On the other, she could be devastated, heartbroken even.

"I...don't know." He said, still deliberating in his head.

Kisa led Elaine out into their back yard, which wasn't particularly nice. There was a chain link fence and some dead grass, nothing to brag about, but it was private enough. Kisa thought about having them sit, but she was too anxious to sit and she imagined Elaine might be too.

"Elaine, I haven't been honest. Not with you, not with anyone, and that has to stop today." Kisa began after a deep exhale.

"You look like you know...What's so bad you can't tell me?" Grey asked, brows knit together as she closed the space between them and met him at the doorway.

"Kisa, what are you even saying? What do you mean you haven't been honest?" Elaine asked, shaking her head with furrowed, confused brows.

Emerson pursed his lips lightly, looking at Grey still. She deserved to know.

"Grey...I saw Kisa kissing another girl downstairs. I think she's cheating on you." Emerson signed slowly.

"Elaine, when we met I was already seeing someone." Kisa began slowly. "Technically speaking, although probably not after today, I am still seeing that person." She explained.

Grey was taken aback at first, her eyes widened and her mouth gaped open a little, letting out a small gasp. Immediately she mulled over the possibility of Kisa cheating on her. Kisa was already a pretty terrible girlfriend, she had zero time for Grey. But did that mean zero time for cheating? Would Kisa make time for another girl (she did)? Grey hadn't seen Kisa in the last few weeks, which was less than usual. She did make a new friend on campus...

But that wouldn't be fair to assume anything without Kisa there to defend herself, would it?

"Are you sure that they were kissing?" Grey asked slowly.

"W-wait. Hold up. You...I'm...oh my God, you...I'm the other woman? You were cheating on someone w-with me?" Elaine sputtered, angry and embarrassed all at once.

"I'm deaf, not blind. They were definitely kissing." Emerson signed fretfully.

Kisa nodded, biting her lip. Kisa really, truly, genuinely liked Elaine. Had she ended things with Grey when she should have, she wouldn't be ruining what she and Elaine had now. Which she was positive was ruined.

"I'm just happier with you, she...Just kind of faded out, to be honest I just...forgot I was still with her. It's not a good excuse, or even an explanation. I'm sorry that I've put you in this position." Kisa explained.

Grey continued to process what Emerson was saying, she didn't want to believe it. How horrible! Of all the terrible things Kisa has done, this would take the cake.

"You're not playing with me?...No, obviously not. You wouldn't joke about something like this..." Grey continued to process aloud.

"Y-you're right...that's a terrible excuse. That's a horrible thing to do to someone. To even go as far as saying she just faded away." Elaine shook her head, embarrassed and frustrated tears pricking at her waterline.

"Grey, I'm dead serious. I saw them kissing and she...told me not to tell you, but you deserve to know." Emerson signed.

"Elaine, I know, I'm so sorry." Kisa said, distress audible in her tone. Kisa didn't cry, at least not very often but she could feel her eyes begin to moisten watching Elaine.

"What else did she say?" Grey asked.

"If you're so sorry...why did you do it? Why did you do it to that...your girlfriend? Why did you do it to me?" Elaine asked, her voice wounded.

Emerson stood motionless for a moment before he went to sign again.

"She said she's been seeing this person for awhile..." He bit at his lip.

"I don't have a reason, I just didn't love her anymore." Kisa said quietly, wiping at her eyes.

Grey could feel herself getting upset, her ears were burning and she bit the inside of her cheek to keep from crying. She sniveled and wiped at her eyes furiously.

"Is she here? Are THEY here?" She signed then.
