Manon wasn’t like her cousins. She didn’t know how to flirt or initiate things with the opposite sex, she wasn’t smooth or particularly sexy. But it never bothered her, she was happy to be the most plain in their trio, the often single and the ‘most boring.’ She would meet up with up with her cousins sometimes during the week, when they came to the city to skip classes while Manon was on her way to additional independent study. When there was a break between her extracurriculars she’d join them for shopping or coffee. Their differences did not separate them or create a divide, Ava and Lucita championed Manon at recital and came to all her figure skating competitions, cheered her on at debate show downs and treated her to pizza and pedicures with every victory. Manon had zero complaints about her busy life.

It was however her weekend off, it was the off season for figure skating and her harp teacher was on vacation. So Manon was looking forward to a fun and relaxing weekend with her cousins, Ava in particular. Ava had picked Manon up in the city, she had planned on treating her cousin to dinner at the Korean place Han had introduced her to. But first Ava needed to pick something up from Han’s apartment. Manon followed her cousin up a flight of stairs, mindful of some children who were playing on the steps in passing.

“It’ll be so quick, in and out.” Ava said over her shoulder to Manon.

“It’s okay, I don’t mind.” She chirped, happy to just be out of uniform and not toting a hefty book bag or large instrument around.

Ava let herself in, holding the door open for Manon before jogging down the hall to what Manon would assume was Han’s bedroom.

“Wait there, I’ll be right out!” Ava called rom the room.

For as long as Han and his "lost boys" all lived together under one roof, the door to their place was one that was ever revolving. With everyone having work, Faction members picking up or dropping off things for meetings, and, of course, the occasional guest, there was always someone coming or going, and, in this case, Yoo In was coming after having worked a double at the restaurant.

He must have been right behind Ava and her cousin, because almost as soon as he entered the apartment, he could hear Ava calling back to the other girl before there was the distinct sound of Han groggily mumbling something and the door 'discretely' being closed. Yoo In hardly thought anything of it until he drew his attention to the girl Ava had been calling out to.

"Hey, are you with her?" He asked, though it was obvious. As he began kicking off his shoes and taking off his apron to hang it by the door, he gestured to the couch. "I don't know what she told you, but I bet my bottom dollar they'll be a minute. You can take a seat." He offered, as it was the polite thing.

“Yeah, she said she just needed to grab something but who knows.” Manon shrugged a little with a light chuckle but was quick to accept the gesture. “Thanks.” She nodded before taking a seat, carefully sinking into the couch.

Manon didn’t share many features with her cousins, Ava and Lucita both had striking European features, sleek and defined like marble statutes. Manon has a darker complexion, like her mother. Her hair a brown bob, locks loose and wavy unlike her mother’s tight drill curls. There wasn’t any strong indication that Manon was related to Ava, but she thought maybe this person was related to Han.

“You live here too?” She asked from her perch on the couch.

"Yeah, with about ten hundred other people it feels like sometimes." Yoo In gave an easy grin, pausing in his pace as he was about to pass the kitchen towards the living room. "Are you thirsty? Hungry?"

“Oh I’m alright, thank you. I’m supposed to be going to dinner, so I’ll just wait for that.” Manon waved.

“Ah, okay.” Yoo In nodded and then proceeded to the living room, taking a seat on a chair just opposite of Manon. He offered a hand out to her and smiled. “I’m Yoo In.”

Manon perked a little, expecting him to continue to wherever in the apartment instead of sitting with her. She took his hand and gave a little shake.

“I’m Manon,” she smiled. “I think Ava’s mentioned you beg, you have a brother right?”

“A twin, actually. His name is Il Soon. Han is kind of like my brother too. We were all raised together.” Yoo In explained. “You’re Ava’s cousin or something, right? I think I saw you once at the Society.”

Manon nodded proudly.

“Yup! My aunt works there too. Feels like everybody does.” She shrugged with a laugh.

“Nah, nobody gets mad at what Ava does anymore.” Manon laughed, waving off the notion. Manon didn’t know too much about Han, and the faction- Ava certainly never shared it with her. For all Manon knew, Yoo In had a fine for J walking at worst.

“Oh gosh no,” Manon laughed sincerely.

“What’s so funny?” A voice asked from the hall.

It was Ava, returned from Han’s room. Her arms were crossed and eyes narrowed at Yoo In.

“Ah he just asked if I was a trouble maker.” Manon answered.
