"Maybe." Grey signing sloppily, doing her best evade eye contact while the color left her cheeks. Which was hard, GRey thought Emerson had beautiful eyes.

Emerson made a slight clicking sound with his tongue before frowning.

"Only maybe?" He signed, still trying to look at Grey's face.

Grey exhales and smiled slightly before looking up at him. The color was mostly normal in her cheeks, slight traces of pink fading.

"I am very comfortable with you." She said facing him.

Emerson, upon seeing both the smile on Grey's lips and in her eyes, smiled himself, lighting up as he read her lips.

Grey's smile broadened before putting down some of the patties and hot dogs. Once they were cooking, Grey flashed a thumbs up and signing to Emerson.

"Did Irving say when he was headed over?" She asked then.

"Already here, nerd." Irving said as he appeared in the backyard, having let himself into the house and made his way through the sliding glass door. "I can't believe he let you see his trash heap of a backyard." He said, going over to sling his arm around Grey's shoulder playfully.

"It did surprise me initially," Grey admitted to Irving. "But we're going to fix it up tomorrow." She nodded.

"Liar. Emerson's been saying that since he got the place." Irving said, making sure Emerosn could see his lips.

Emerson frowned and reached over to punch his brother's arm.

"I'm serious!" He followed with a sign.

Grey looked to Emerson before signing and speaking aloud. "I think so. We haven't really talked about it much, but I think we should start with grass."

"See? Yeah, so starting with grass and working our way up." Grey nodded before feeling her phone vibrate. She glanced at the screen, it was Shika saying he was here. He hadn't ever been here before so he wasn't going to just walk in the way Irving (and Grey) does.

"Emerson, Shika is here. Would you mind letting him in, please?" She asked.
