"At least I live somewhere." Ivan frowned at Sveta's teasing. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

Sveta shrugged but couldn't help but chuckle. Her smile was a pleasant change from her consistent scowling and pouting, she almost looked like a different person. Significantly softer, revealing a lighthearted nature somewhere under all her sidelong glances and sarcastic remarks.
"I'm only picking on you, I get the feeling I'm always mean. But I'll try to be better." She said then as her laughter trailed. |

Ivan couldn't help but flush as he admired the smile Sveta gave him, moreover, the laughter. He gave a bashful smile himself and shook his head.
"Yeah...wouldn't kill you to be nicer." He teased back lightly. "Anyway, thanks, Peter, it's appreciated as always. I hope we didnt' cause you and Daisy too much grief." He said.
Peter shook his head.
"It's fine, just try not to come by as often as your brother." He said. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

Sveta flushed slightly herself whenever Ivan smiled and teased back, but dropped her gaze to the ground before giving a short wave to Peter.
"Thank you for your help, have a good night." She uttered, hurrying to the door. |

"Of course. Drive safe. DOn't cause your parents grief." Peter said to Ivan as Ivan got up and offered his arm out to Sveta. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

| Sveta took Ivan's arm again, this time mostly out of habit. She was feeling a little better since Peter fixed her up, though not one hundred percent better. But it was something that felt customary already. |

"Um, when we get to my parents' place, they'll...have questions, but just let me talk to them. My dad is kind of a softie and a bleeding heart, but my mom is...a bit tougher." Ivan explained. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

| "So you don't normally bring girls home then?" Fauna joked. "That's fine, I'm sure you'll have a better explanation than me anyways." She added as they made they're way out of the building. |

"Not really...and I don't plan on making up a story or whatever, I'm just...gonna tell them the sorta truth." Ivan said. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

| The drive from Peter's to his parents house was quiet, which Sveta didn't mind. She wondered if she should be tired? It was very late, but she felt wide awake in spite of everything. But completely serene, listening to opera in the car with Ivan. |

((FF))
It'd been a few weeks since Ivan brought home the girl he knew as "Sveta". Though his parents were skeptical about the whole situation at first, after pleading her case mostly to Mityr, she was allowed to stay in the Nikitin household. Being that Mityr and Riley were both busy people, Ivan was mostly left to his own devices to get Sveta settled in.
Riley had given her a single change of clothes, if only for the purpose of giving her something to wear while Ivan took her out to get clothes of her own, which he did on one of his days off from his brother's "work". Besides getting her clothes, Ivan took her to the Society to try and have Sveta identified, but unfortunately no one really see if there was any record of her, which (shocker) there was no paperwork on her whatsoever.
Though she showed no signs of her memory returning, her personality was certainly coming in clearer. She was definitely a bit mean, sometimes (most times) unnecessarily so, but when it regarded Ivan she often was not as mean. She was by no means a gentle girl, Ivan wondered if she ever had been or if it was her motor skills damaged by her head injury. She was very literal, or at least more literal than Ivan was used to, so most jokes went over her head or were taken quite seriously.
But beyond being mean, heavy-handed, and comedicly inept, Ivan saw something in her still. She was a straightforward girl, no time for nonsense, she also seemed quite loyal, and by God was her smile beautiful, though glances of it came far and in between.
Ivan often teased his father for his romanticism, as did everyone else in the family, but he was quite sure he was feeling something for Sveta.
Which was why he was gearing up to "combat" his siblings whenever they decided to make an appearance at the family home for dinner. He knew that his siblings, his sisters especially, would try to dig at her and dig at him even if it was for simply the fact that she was a girl and he was a boy and...well, you get the picture. He didn't want Sveta to have to say anything in rebuttal, he also didn't want her to WANT to rebuttal because heavens knows how bad that might end up.
He had employed Sveta's help in setting the table while Riley and (mostly) Mityr finished things in the kitchen.
"Just so you know, you can't take what my siblings say...personal. Whatever it is. Okay? They all just like to pick on me and the people I know." He explained as he set up some silverware. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

Fauna, or Sveta rather, had been doing her best to adjust to his new life and relearn things. She was coming into her own quite a bit, or at least she felt that way. Being mean was something she felt sure of and good at, she didn't even have to think about it. Something about literally everyone else just felt lesser and inferior to her by nature. Everyone except...Ivan. She tried her best to not think of him as her baby sitter even though he kind of was. And Sveta often found accidentally brushing his hand or elbow in passing made her flush, and when she said something insensitive to him she was quick to recover. As they were setting the table and Ivan was explaining his sibling dynamic she felt immediately on defense and almost protective of Ivan.
Her face was almost always pinched in an angry expression but somehow her brows knit together more as she paused to look up at him seriously.
"If they're picking on me, or you, than it is personal." She said with finality. |

"Well, it is, yeah, but it doesn't...mean anything? Or, I guess, it doesn't merit a response. They're all kind of just like that." Ivan said, using the same words he'd been told growing up. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |
