"I'm sure you're right, but I think I'm going to take a break from things and out there." Blossom said, exhaling but able to feign a smile.

"Breaks are okay, breaks are good, just don't let one bad experience make it, like, you know, a permanent break." Ricky nodded, smiling back. He finished wiping Blossom's face before going back over to the coffee machine to pour a cup for her. He set the cup back down on the counter and leaned casually. "Bon apple tea or whatever."

Blossom let out a weak chuckle but graciously accepted the coffee.

"Thank you, you know, for this." Blossom said with a nod.

Several weeks had past, things were back to being uneventful as usual. Blossom and Clover rotated being with Claire either at his apartment or above the bodega. Once in awhile Amulius or Ricky would join in their ranks. Blossom was headed toward the bodega now, a drink carrier in tow for their posse and her gym bag slung over her shoulder symbolizing she just finished at the gym. Of course she was excited to see Ricky, she liked being at the bodega for that reason. Her crush didn't lighten up at all since the Elliot incident, though her confidence were worse than before. So she wasn't likely to say anything to him, Clover knew which she assumed met Claire knew. But it was just one of those things.

Something else that hadn't changed, was the squad of vampires that was pining for Clover to join their nest. Well, somethings had changed, they didn't really want to befriend Clover anymore. Now they were more interested in revenge after the altercation with his girlfriend. Between the four of them, they weren't particularly bright. So their best concept for revenge was to kidnap and rough up his human sister.

With some of the tias working an intensive session in the bodega's backroom (AKA the "office"), Ricky was forced to close up shop to the general public for the time being and was currently sprucing up some of the planters that sat at the store front along with a table or two. Despite everyone assuming the bodega was his only love, he was quite fond of gardening, or, rather, he was pretty good at taking care of the occasional plant.

He glanced up when he heard some footfalls nearby and spotted Blossom coming down the way.

"Hey Bloss!" He greeted.

Ever since the Elliot incident, Ricky felt like he'd seen a whole lot of Blossom and he certainly wasn't complaining. She was a nice girl and they seemed to get along just fine. He didn't really understand what Elliot did or didn't see in her, but that was decidedly his loss.

Blossom instantly flushed instantly, she felt her heart flutter as she approached.

"Hey Ricky, I uh, brought you a coffee." She offered.

The gang observed from they alley a few paces down from the bodega, they could take both? The girl and the boy.

“What? You didn’t want to sit and drink my crappy bodega coffee?” Ricky teased as he held his hand out to accept the drink. “Thanks. You wanna sit? Claire and Clover are getting ready together, which means, you know, they’re schmoozing.”

“Oh sure.” Blossom agreed bashfully before taking a seat; setting down the carrier tray and her duffle.

"Oh nothing at all." Blossom began with a shrug before her head snapping toward a shrill scream.

Darby cooked up a simple enough plan, she would scream, pretending to be attacked by Dodge. Expecting to attract Clover's sister and the Witches brother, once they arrived, they would snatch them up and take them back to the nest.

“What was that? Ricky asked. This was his neighborhood and though he wasn’t physically intimidating necessarily, he felt a certain obligation to scope it out as he got up.

Ricky stalked off with Blossom, pausing at the alley opening to a length of pipe that had been thrown out by someone. He headed in, hands poised on his weapon.
