Dimitra thanked the waitress and went to put the straw in her water, though, she messed with the paper wrapper in her hands a bit, trying to figure out where to start.

"So...you know how we've talked about...how you feel about me before? And I said I was still...unsure?" She said carefully. She flicked her glance up at Dewey, but only for a moment before becoming flushed again.

Dewey reached across the table and took Dimitra’s hands.

“Dimitra, you’re the most special person to me.I've loved you for as long as I can remember. Will you please, be my girlfriend?” He asked, apart of his tone somewhat teasing and playful. But his expression was sincere.

Dimitra felt her heart flutter in her chest and if her face wasn't already flushed, it was certainly pinked with her giddiness now. She gave Dewey's hands a squeeze and feigned a bashful little tuck of her shoulder.

"I mean...you said please. How can I say no?" She giggled.
