Emerson looked up and attempted to read Grey's lips, but found himself mostly distracted by the way they moved and her gaze, which he flickered his own to catch every so often. He'd thought it before, but he was certainly thinking it again: Grey was awfully pretty.

He stared for a moment before realizing he'd missed nearly everything Grey said.

"Sorry, can you say that again? I missed some of it." He admitted with a bashful smile and apologetic signing.

Emerson gave an admittedly bashful shake of his head.

"No, nothing, just zoned out for a second." He said, smiling apologetically.

"Oh, okay. I was asking if you could grab some waters out of the fridge? There's sodas too if you prefer. I'm going to get chips out of the pantry." Grey asked again with a smile.

Emerson's lips involuntarily quirked upwards at Grey's smile and he gave a little nod and turned to the fridge to collect the drinks as instructed.

Grey skipped over to the pantry, she grabbed a couple different kids since she wasn't sure what Emerson would like. Although there weren't big chip eaters in the house, she settled for a bag of veggie chips and some bbq kettle cooked chips. At the bottom of the pantry was where she stored her picnic basket, and her red checkered blanket to match. Grabbing everything in one go she plopped everything onto the counter for packing.

Emerson watched as Grey casually dropped everything onto the counter.

"Careful." He said to her, a playful little grin on his face.

"Yeah, I don't know if once a week seems excessive or not. Weather permitting too, not that I mind going to the beach when it's cold." Grey shrugged as she folded up the blanket to put in the basket.

"We're leaving again, Shika." Grey called into the leaving room, only earning a lazy raised hand from the artist as they stepped back out.

Emerson blinked in surprise as he caught the flash of the hand from the other room. He hadn't even noticed him, then again, that was something he dealt with on the regular.

"Who was that?" He asked Grey once they were outside.
