Contrary to popular belief, Kisa wasn't exactly a star student. Sure she did okay, 3. something grade average; certainly higher than Shika's not that it mattered to her parents. Kisa was a jock, an athlete and that's where all of her focus went. That seemed satisfactory enough for her parents, they'd hope maybe she could make the Olympic team.

But alas, her grade in science had dropped. She wasn't failing but she didn't like the direction her grade was going. Fortunately enough for her, the professor for her Earth Science class was a big supporter of the track team. So he told her he'd give her extra credit if she cleaned and organized the science lab, which it needed desperately.

Kisa didn't mind, she went to practice early so she could leave early to get started in the lab. She was sweaty, but she didn't want to waste time changing her clothes. So she settled for dumping her water bottle over her head and reapplying her deodorant before heading into the science building.

Elaine was by no means a social creature. Some assumed this was the product of her solitary upbringing, or even her parents' insistence on having her homeschooled, but, in truth, it was mostly just her nature. If one had known her in childhood, they'd realize that she had always been quiet in nature. Even when her parents invited family over and her cousins would try and include her, she'd rather indulge in her own company, which she still found to be the best even all these years later.

She was currently putting away some specimen slides the professor had left out for her, since she'd been so curious about them. Looking around the lab, she was wondering if she should just go ahead and clean everything up after she put the slides away.

Kisa ran into the room and pulled the door shut behind her so not to be inturrupted. She sort of jogged in and up to the desk, dropping her track bag with a thud before pulling back her short red hair into a stubby pony tail; not realizing someone else was there.

Elaine gave a startled little jolt when she heard the door shut and shuffling. She looked up and let out a quiet little "eep", watching with slight mortification at the sudden appearance of the other girl in the room. She watched quietly, too taken aback to speak to the girl at first.

Kisa still moved about, getting set up. It was quiet and her back was turned so she couldn't know someone else was there yet. She marched over to the supply closet in the room and went ahead and brought out the broom to start, only then did she see the other girl.

She wasn't startled, it was hard to surprise Kisa.

"Oh." She uttered. "Are you still using this room?" She asked.

"Uh, not really. I was...um...I was actually about to start cleaning up. It's kind of a mess." Elaine responded.

"Actually that's my job. I'm supposed to clean up in here for extra credit." Kisa said plainly. "There's a lot to do, I'd like to get started..."

"Um...do you know where everything goes?" Elaine asked. She would hate to see things misplaced.

Kisa made a face and rubbed the back of her neck. "More or less...?" Kisa answered although she wasn't so sure. She missed a lot of class so there was room for error in that regard.

Kisa was silent a moment, mulling it over. She didn't like having help from others, she didn't really like the company of most people either. It was strange she tolerated Grey as much as she did.

"Sure, that's fine." She decided.

"Kisa...is that Japanese?" Elaine asked, having admittedly recognizing the name from a manga she'd enjoyed in her younger days (fucking weeb).

"It is." Kisa nodded. "I'm half Japanese on my fathers side." She explained, which wasn't in character for her to say something so intimate.
