After countless nights of talking, giving encouragement and reassurance, Wyla, Bix, and Shika were all at the airport. Wyla and her daughter were there to see Shika off, and Shika was there to be seen off, and God...Wyla wished she could reassure herself about seeing him go.

She stood anxiously with Bixley while Shika got his bag all checked in. She felt sick all over again and was an overall bundle of nerves. Of course, she wanted Shika to go and be successful, but she wished he didn't have to go be so far to do so.

"So this is it..." Shika muttered, more to himself than anyone else as he looked up at all the departures. He turned to face Wyla and Bix, his little family, or so he considered them already. He didn't want to go, in the moment when he heard he was accepted he was so excited. But since dinner to now, he felt uneasy. He loved Wyla and he couldn't imagine a day away from her now.

"Alright, I'm no good at goodbyes.." He admitted with a sad smile. "Wyla, thank you again..." He said, taking her hands and kissing her knuckles.

"P-psh, no thanks needed, just....come back soon." Wyla said, her voice wavering only slightly as she tried to keep a stiff enough upper lip.

She was nearly failing.

Shika dropped her hand and pulled her close, wrapping his arms tightly around her. He buried his face in her hair and held on tightly, he didn't want to make her cry though he was certain she was close. He was pretty close himself, but he couldn't just wave goodbye and leave.

"I love you, I love you very much." He said into her hair.

"I love you too...I love you, Shika.' Wyla sniffed back her tears and reached up to gently run her hand over the back of his neck. "Don't forget to call me when you land, okay? And stay warm, I hear it's cold." She asid.

"Call when I land? I'll call you all the time, you'll be sick of me." Shika laughed then, tears pricking his eyes before leaning away to press his lips to her forehead.

"I pinky promise." Shika sniffed before petting her hair and pulling away to squat down to Bixley's level. He put his hands on her shoulders before taking a deep breath.

"Are you going to well behaved for your Mom?" He asked her.

Bixley had been anything but well-behaved since she found out that Shika was leaving. She had thrown tantrums galore and hardly talked to either Shika or Wyla, mostly opting to conversate with Pompom or her grandparents (who she would call with Wyla's help after pitching a fit). Wyla knew she was only doing it to gain Shika's attention, maybe she thought it would chagne his mind, so she mostly just went with it so to speak, but she'd decided she'd make Bixley at least say goodbye, "forcing" it out of her if she had to.

Luckily, that didn't seem like it would need to be the case.

"Yeh..." Bix said in a quiet grumble, a frown on her face.

"I'm already excited for you to visit me, I was thinking of taking you to the Central Park Zoo; Pompom can come too of course. But I'll make our visits special, I promise. I'll take you where ever you want to go." He boast with a smile before eyes drooping softly as he stroked her cheek. "I love you very much, Bixley. I hope you know that." He said then.

Bix's lips quivered and she began sniveling as she looked up to Shika.

"I'll m-miiiiiss you." She simpered.

"Oh sweetheart, I'll miss you more. But please don't cry, if you cry then will too." Shika sniffed, pulling Bixley close to him for an embrace.

Bix began to proper sob then, clinging to Shika. Meanwhile, Wyla's lips quivered as she reached over to pet at Bix's hair. She turned her head away in hopes of keeping her tears at bay.

Shika sniveled as he clung onto Bixley. Allowing himself a moment to have a tearful goodbye though he hadn't originally anticipated one. He would really miss them, and though he tried to remind himself that they would visit soon and so would he; it was still hard.

"S-Shika, you better go soon so you don't miss your flight." Wyla croaked, trying not to cry when she heard Shika's own sniveling.
