If Toma had been drinking, he would’ve spat it out, he could feel his face burning and his ears were hot. Handsome? He called him handsome? Toma had never been called handsome before. Should he acknowledge it? Should he compliment him back?
“Oh..Well it is a new ritual for me, but you know, I’m here, I plan to keep coming.” He sputtered, flustered. |

Because of his time as a wolf in the wilds, he had lost a lot of his ability to communicate by human speech. It’s possible some of his accent, was just from learning to speak at all again. But if Rudy thought it was nice, then that was enough. More than his ears burning, he felt his heart make a giddy jump.

"I did, though, we did just move neighborhoods not long ago. I just finished setting us up in a nice little place in Greenwich a few months back. You wouldn't believe how much of a pain it is to lug beehives to a rooftop without incident." Rudy chuckled. "Was it a culture shock? Moving here?"

Toma was quiet but chuckled a little in the end.
“Ah well, I guess people here show more skin than they would back home. It appears homosexuality is more accepted here, you and I certainly wouldn’t be talking this long unless it were about girls. And there’s a lot of diversity here, I’ve never seen such a gradient in skin tones or heard so many different languages just walking down the street.” Toma explained. |

"I see...so...being gay isn't something that's...looked upon well there then?" Rudy asked, though, he wouldn't be surprised. It still wasn't a well liked lifestyle in places here.

Toma felt a familiar tingle in his skin, some sort of phantom touch from his father. Ripples from the physical abuse he endured from Sebastian, trying to cure him of his sickness. He rubbed his arms as though to circulate blood flow that had paused.
“Romania does not recognize same sex relationships.” Toma nodded. |
