A couple days have passed since Emerson's accident. The house was sort of lonely though, it had just been them too since he was released. Not that Grey really minded that, but she was missing Irving and thought Emerson might be missing him too.
Grey was in the kitchen, she had just woken up and did her morning routine of 'making her bed,' as in folding her blankets from sleeping on the couch. She was yawning and putting her hair up after turning on the kettle for tea. She grabbed a mug and waited for the water to boil, it was still kind of early so she didn't have anything to do but wait. Standing there she began studying the contents of the kitchen and noticed some hamburger buns and hotdog buns, how long have these been here? They'd go bad soon, no doubt.
Then she had an idea, why not have a cookout? It would probably just be the three of them, but why not? Irving didn't need an excuse like food to come over, but it would surely sweeten the deal. |

Emerson woke up early as a sort of routine and despite his injured status, today was no different either, though it did take him longer. He rolled out of bed and got himself dressed, babying some scratches and his bruises along the way, before going to the bathroom to wash his face and "fix" his hair. Once he was set for the day, he proceeded to head towards the living room to try and roust Grey if it was needed, however he stopped short in the kitchen when he saw her moving about.
He approached the kitchen and knocked at the counter.

Grey heard a knocking and turned around, she smiled upon seeing Emerson was up for the day.

Emerson watched Grey's lips closely, to read them and to, well, admire them, and he gave a little head shake.
"Owange juice in fuhwidge." He spoke aloud, Grey being one of the few people he was comfortable enough doing so in a friendly manner.

Grey nodded and gave a simple thumbs up. She stepped over to another cupboard and grabbed a glass, she held it up to the light to ensure it was clean before crossing the room to the fridge and pour out some OJ. She slid it across the table towards Emerson before sitting down herself.
"I had an idea I wanted to run by you." Grey began. |
