Wyla looked up and felt her heart give a giddy little leap when she read the message. She quickly looked towards Shika, having to drop her gaze when she realized he was down on one knee.

He turned her hand palm up before placing a little velvet ring box gingerly in her hand and closing her fingers around it.
"Wyla, I don't really know what the right thing is to say before asking you a very important question. But I want you to know, sincerely, I didn't know what love was before I met you, before I met Bixley. I promise you, I'm always going to do my best to be your partner in life and have you back all the time. I get to be a Dad because of you, and I want to be your husband too. Will you please marry me?" He asked. |

Wyla's bottom lip quivered and her eyes instantaneously became moist as she looked at Shika. She gave a watery laugh and nodded her head vigorously.
