Havania gave him a watery smile.

“You were always my one.” She choked.

There was a slight ruckus downstairs, feet rushing up the stairs. Peter returned with another man and woman, both of who spared introduction as they set to setting up the room. Peter went over to Havania and Navrik.

“Havania, Navrik, we’re going to induce labor and see if we can get the baby out without having to resort to anything invasive.” He explained.

“Okay. Do what you have to do.” Navrik breathed, wiping his face. He settled in, holding Havania’s hand still and focusing on her face.

It was a horrendously long process and Havania endured a great deal of pain, much more that she had ever endured previous, but after all her and Peter’s team’s efforts, she gave birth to a baby boy.

She and the babe were both fairly out of it, both heavily sedated, but faired well enough (it was no Alien scene for sure). He appeared healthy and, surprisingly, normal. Like all of his siblings, he had a full head of dark hair and curly lashes. He did, however, have Navrik’s pointed ears, which was a first.

He let out croaky little cries as one of Peter’s assistants took care of him, leaving Peter and the other assistant took care of a rather bedraggled Havania.

She looked tired and still uncomfortable, but she at least looked like she’d make it nonetheless. She had held onto Navrik’s hand throughout everything, but now, after it was said and done, her grip was lax.

“Is the baby okay?” She asked, looking to Navrik with weary eyes.

“Yes, yes. He appears healthy,” Navrik was trying to look at the baby as he was being whisked away for further care. “He has my ears.” He added, something normal and fatherly he would normally say so he was saying it now for both his and Havania’s comfort.

Havania gave a tired smile at that.

“Good, I love your ears.” She said, eyes droopy with exhaustion.

“Let’s hope he does too.” Navrik said quietly, everything seemed okay. But he needed to hear it from Peter before exhaling.

Peter looked up after having made sure everything was alright, and gave Navrik a worn out smile of his own when he saw the other man looking at him.

“She’s going to be fine. Tired, definitely sore, but she’s okay.” He said.

Meanwhile, the other assistant had taken the baby to examine and clean him up before bringing him back.

“He seems perfectly normal.” The man said, clearly baffled considering the situation that brought them there.

At that Navrik let out a held breath, his own grip finally lax as he relaxed, slumped against Havania’s bedside.

“Thank goodness.” He breathed.

“Id like to stay a bit longer, just to make sure they’re both alright, but-“

The baby gave another croaky cry, fussing in the assistant’s arms, to which Havania, almost dozed off completely, opened her eyes to.

“Can I have him?” She asked, tiredly gesturing for the baby.

“Asha can set you up in our guest room downstairs if you’d like, but at this moment some privacy might be appropriate.” Navrik suggested.

“Of course. I have a few calls to make anyhow, but don’t hesitate to get me if need be.” Peter nodded as one assistant gathered their things and the other approached the bed to help tuck the baby into Havania’s waiting arms.

She smiled at the baby as she took a beat to admire him., everyone else clearing out of the room as she did so.

“Look at him...he looks like you.” Havania commented, looking up at Navrik.

“All that trouble over someone so little.” Navrik sighed but smiled, admiring the babe, reaching out to touch his ears.

“So so little.” Havania said as she went back to admiring their newest babe. “He was worth it though.”

“Well, this weird be awkward if it wasn’t.” Navrik said, jokingly but tone soft and lighthearted.

“Should we get our other babies? Show them that everything is alright? And that their brother is here?” Havania suggested.
