Natas let out a whine when Armand broke the kiss, panting somewhat, she furrowed her brows but ultimately agreed.

"You're right." She breathed.

"There will be other times." Armand gave a small smile as he reached to cup Natas's face again before placing a soft kiss to her lips. "Let's go now."

Natas nodded, smiling somewhat as well before hopping off the bed and grabbing the bag she packed; ready to run.

There was a great deal of underground traveling, following the exchange in Spain. Natas couldn't wrap her head around it still, she wasn't a violent or villainous person, was she? They had originally talked about settling on Turkey, no one would guess looking for them there and was on the other side of the Mediterranean sea from Spain. But as they kept going and stopped in Italy to board another train, Natas fell in love with; particularly with Rome. Perhaps something in her psyche was triggered, her twin boys were named after the twins who would go on, according to myth, to found Rome. She was in complete awe, staring up at the statue of the she-wolf, nursing twin boys and she felt drawn to the city.

It wasn't as far away from Spain as Armand would've liked, but how could he say no, seeing the look in her eyes looking up at that statue. Maybe she would remember soon, if she were here.

They got lucky, Armand was able to rent them a small cottage near the markets. It was bigger than their home in Spain, Natas was completely lit up every morning she got to skip from their bedroom into a master bathroom. As happy as she was to be there, she still had a lot of questions about what happened.

The twosome were in a sort of, mutated honeymoon type bliss, thankful to have escaped unscathed and also, truly behave like a married couple again. So they had been able to avoid having that conversation for a little bit. But this morning, Natas was staring at herself in the mirror and began to reflect on what happened.

Were people still looking for them? Would they find them again, how many more times will they have to relocate like this?

"Should I cut my hair?" She asked, calling out to Armand in their bedroom. She ran her fingers through her hair, down the length of it. Maybe if she looked differently, it would be harder to pin them?

Armand was on their bed flipping through a local newsprint (not that he could understand Italian, though, since it was close enough to Spanish, he caught the gist) when Natas called out to him. He instantly frowned and shook his head though she couldn't see him.

"I don't think that's necessary. Besides, it took you so long to grow it out and it's so beautiful." He said, setting the paper aside so he could climb off of the bed. He went to the bathroom door and leaned against the jamb, reaching out to pet at Natas's hair as he stood. "It'd be such a shame."

'It'll grow up,' she uttered, still fussing with it in the mirror. "Armand, can you tell me...What happened? Why it happened?" She began before turning to face him. "Just...Everything, can you please tell me everything?" Her brows furrowed slightly, she trusted Armand wholeheartedly that he would tell her what she needed to know. But she felt a genuine concern for their safety, now, she wanted in the loop.

Armand frowned and ceased his petting, though his hand stayed at Natas's head. He supposed he did owe her an explanation, he had known it was coming eventually, but he'd been combating with himself on what to tell her. She was so happy now and he didn't know if he could stand to see her distressed as a new person due to what she'd done before. He supposed the best thing to do was give her a watered down truth, if it was only watered down to spare her at least.

"Natas...I have done bad things to people. I have worked with the wrong men." Armand said simply. "I knew there were things I shouldn't have done, but I did them anyways for personal gain...and I got you involved at one point." He said, omitting the part where Natas had joined with him very much willingly and that she'd done her own fair share of bad things as well. "But when push came to shove, we both stopped and we've been running...and I'll keep running if it keeps you safe."

"Armand, just how bad are we talking? That person said, crimes against humanity, is there nothing we can do to live freely? Or will have to keep running?" She asked then.

Armand's brows creased and he frowned tighter, moving his hand to cup Natas's cheek instead.

"I don't know...we did bad things, so I don't know what the future holds for us, but Natas, I will always ALWAYS make sure to protect you. I will fight to give us the best life possible." He assured.

Natas made a slight face, but she placed her hand over his and turned to nestle her cheek against his palm. She let out a little sigh then, deciding to be happy with what Armand was able to tell her. As days went on she was beginning to realize their situation was complicated, she was complicated. There probably couldn't be a right answer to the questions she would ask him.

"I know. I know that and I believe you when you say that." She said then, eyes closed briefly as she rested her face in his hand.

"Don't sound so dissatisfied then." Armand said, leaning in to press his forehead to hers. "We're supposed to go find lunch somewhere, aren't we? And I promised you we would do extra exploring, didn't I?"

Natas couldn't but help smile softly.

"You're too kind to me." She said quietly, releasing his hand so to wrap her around his shoulders.

"I'm only kind to you." Armand teased, though, it was the truth. He tilted his head to kiss lightly at Natas's neck through her mess of hair.

Natas chuckled at the remark, but flushed at the kiss; it was so light but still presence enough to give her goosebumps. She pulled away only enough to catch his lips with her own then.

Armand gave a slight chuckle into the readjustment of the affection and complied by returning the kiss and moving his hands to Natas's hips.

"You're very eager to be affectionate these days." He teased between pecks.
