“Why? There’s nothing to be sorry for.” Rundin said. “You weren’t in the right mind, you didn’t do anything on purpose. There is nothing for me or Valentina or anyone to forgive.” _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

“But I’ll still be punished won’t I? After you’re all done poking and prodding at me? I’ll be thrown in a jail or maybe just euthanized, if I’m going to be punished I should be sorry too.” Toma blurt, anxious tears pricking his eyes.
It’s probably the most he’s said in one sitting since being in captivity, but it may have not been a good thing. He was becoming hysterical, clenching the tupperware with white knuckles. He was gritting his teeth hard as he bit back heavy sobs. Daisy rushed into the room, with a syringe in hand. She urged Rundin to move back so she could sedate him. |

“Wait? What? No, Daisy, wait.” Rundin sputtered a bit as he was urged away. “Toma, you’re not going to be punished. We aren’t going to lock you up or have you put down. We want to help you get better so you can have a fresh start at life, do the things you want to do and be who you want to be. Your sister and I just want to make sure you get better.” His words came out hurried but sincere. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

Daisy poked Toma quick, his sputtering slowing to a stop and his breathing becoming relaxed. His eyes began to droop almost immediately, he slowly laid onto his side, dropping the tupper onto the floor. |

Rundin frowned and waited for Toma to be fully at rest before going over and picking up the dropped tupper. As he lidded both of the Tupperware’s and put them in the bag, he spoke to Daisy.
“How much longer until you and Peter can figure out a cure?” He asked. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

“I’m not sure...I’m working on this night and day, I promise I’m doing everything I can.” Daisy explained. |

“I know. I just...want him to be able to live a normal life.” Rundin said. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

“And he will! We’ll get him there soon.” Daisy nodded. |

Rundin let out a little sigh and nodded. He trusted Peter and Daisy, they’d be able to take care of Toma.
“Can you save these for him? They’re his favorite.” He said, holding up the bag with the papanasi in it. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

“Okay, will do.” Daisy nodded, accepting the dish. |

About a month had passed since Rundin’s last visit, Daisy had finally come up with a trial antidote. It had been going well so far, Toma was making a lot of progress physically and socially. He could recall significantly more human words, in both Romanian and English. Though he had a weird accent, it sounded exactly like it was, like an animal trying to speak. Daisy had also been working to keep up his appearance, cutting his hair and shaving his face; physically working on sitting up and walking on two legs. It had been a labor of love, and now she felt confident in an overnight visit with his family.
Daisy had packed a small bag for him with clean clothes and toiletries. He was ready, though probably afraid and a little unsure. But health wise, he was ready, maybe that was enough. |

Though Rundin often scolded his children about being amicable siblings to one another growing up, it was something that he himself was not skilled in. He didn't have any siblings of his own growing up so he didn't necessarily know what it mean to be a good brother.
Though he hoped he could learn to be a good brother-in-law.
Daisy had called him about a week ago to tell him she thought she'd found a sort of antidote for Toma's illness and, after a few days of trial, she gave him a call once more to tell him that she thought it was working. After a brief discussion, because it didn't take long, Daisy and Rundin agreed that an overnight stay at the Dalca household as a sort of social trial.
It was his day off, but Rundin was at "work" all the same, this time just there to pick up Toma. He'd let himself down into the work space and containment area set up for Peter and Daisy's research with Toma. He looked pleased as peaches as he entered, eager to take Toma home to "meet" the rest of the family. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

Daisy opened the door to the cell, holding it open for Toma who emerged with little duffel. He looked quite good! Significantly better than when he was in Romania. His hair was short and trim, even styled. His complexion was clean and clear, his peachy skin almost poreless. But, his eyes were tired, hooded and dark. To add to the more worn out aspects of himself, he staggered a bit. Shambling more than walking as he hadn’t quite mastered being bipedal. His outfit was pretty standard but Daisy did put a brace on his back to help keep him upright and prevent slouching.
“Hi, Rundin.” Toma greeted quietly, meekly. Barely looking up at him. |

"Toma, you look good." Rundin said, grinning at his brother-in-law despite Toma not looking his way. He went over and offered an arm out to assist him when he recognized he was a bit unstable still. "We're so happy that you're coming to stay with us. Valentina, Mihai, and Astrid are all putting together a feast." He glanced up at Daisy. "Is there anything else he needs besides his bag?" _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts. |

“Nope. His meds are in his bag, he knows his schedule. You have my contact for emergencies, otherwise have fun!” Daisy said, feeling rather proud and excited. |
