After getting their grub on and after yelling themselves hoarse at the wrestling match, Ricky and Blossom were making their way back to Clover’s place to end their successful date. Somewhere along the way, Ricky had gotten bold and reached for Blossom’s hand. He was now walking with her, their pinkies linked and hands idly swinging between them.

“Bloss, I had a really good time tonight.” He said to her, still grinning as he had been all night.

“Good, I’m glad.” He said, coming up to the building.

Blossom stepped up the stairs and paused at the door before turning to Ricky, pinkies still linked.

“Well this is me,” She began somewhat shyly. “Will you let me know when you make it home?” She asked.

“Yeah. You too. Don’t know when and where a kidnapping vampire might show up.” Ricky teased, smiling as he gave her pinky a squeeze. “I’m really glad you let me take you out, Blossom.”

“I’d love that.” Blossom answered still smiling, lashes fluttering as she looked at him absolutely doe eyed.

Blossom had never been on a date, so to no ones surprise she had never been kissed. She would be more nervous but she had the best time with Ricky, she couldn’t feel anything else besides pure adoration.

“Then...it’s a date.” Ricky smiled and in that moment he felt like everything was perfect, everything was just right.

So, he leaned in for the most gentle peck at her lips. It wasn’t mindblowing, it wasn’t practiced (fucking virgins), but it was just right.

Blossom was more than content with their simple and light first kiss, it still made her heart flutter as she pulled away.

“I’ll see you next week then.” She smiled sweetly before giving another sweet peck, but just on his cheek. She uttered a ‘goodbye,’ before slipping behind the building door.

Across town, things at the Khiev household we’re busier than ever. Rowan pleaded with his wife to not meet Ricky without him, he wanted to not only meet Blossom’s first boyfriend. But also buffer, and protect him from his intimidating wife. But, alas Violet arranged for it so Ricky would come over while Rowan was out of town for work. The house was spotless, Violet and Blossom had been cleaning and tidying up all day. And most of the evening Violet juggled preparing dinner and primping her daughter.

Violet didn’t care for men. But she did recognize Ricky as a prospective husband for her daughter. So Blossom was fully decorated, sporting a traditional sampot Chang kben, a sort of baggy harden pant knotted at the crotch and secured with a metal belt. Bloss had an off the shoulder, sort of tube top under her long sash. She looked quite pretty, her hair pulled back in a tight braid with flowers braided in.

She was sweating a bit, it was hot from Violet cooking in the apartment and Blossom was also nervous. A bit embarrassed too for Ricky to see her out of her norm. Things were very comfortable and puppy love between them, late night phone conversations telling the other person that hang up first. Cute couples photos on social media. All that cute stuff, the whole nine.

But Blossom knew what Violet could be like, and she couldn’t help but feel anxious as she waited for Ricky by the door. Would this be too much for him?

Ricky was nervous and excited as he walked up to Blossom's building. Admittedly, he'd spent a big part of his day trying to decide how to wear his hair and what to wear. He even dared to consult the mass of primas and his sister for clothing choices. He ultimately ended up wearing a plain white button up with the sleeves neatly rolled up and cuffed as his primas insisted he had nice arms from doing all the heavy lifting in the bodega. Claire had pressed his black slacks, making them nice and crisp. He was almost always sporting the nice wingtips his mother had picked up once when she was visiting Mexico and tonight was no exception, though he did polish them to make sure they looked nice. His hair, like everyone else in the family, was an unruly sort of curly, but through sheer determination and great efforts from his sister, he had it slicked back tidily.

He'd brought a hardy bouquet of flowers for Blossom's mom, wanting desperately to make a good impression, and lugged them upstairs to the apartment address Bloss had given him. He fussed once more with his hair before nervously knocking at the door.
