“I wish you could’ve heard how Adrik dawned over Asha when we were kids. That’s what Dewey is like about you.” Vania said.
“Dimitra, Dewey would marry you tomorrow if it made sense.” Ania added. |

“Because Adrik spoils Asha.” Dimitra started, only to realize Dewey did the same for her. Her cheeks heated further. “He...he talks about her all the time.” Again, after she spoke, she realized Dewey did the same. There was more heat. “Adrik is always whining when Asha isn’t around and shen she is, he won’t leave her alone.” Once again, her cheeks heated and she was already predicting what her sisters were going to say. “But he’s just...he’s always just been Doody.” She mumbled. “He’s always fet different.”

Dimitra was brave in many aspects. She often dove headlong into things and was able to have a “stiff chin” as her father often put it. But for whatever reason, when Ania said what she’d said, she felt her eyes get a little moist at the prospect. What if Dewey did get tired of waiting? Would he leave? Would they stop being friends? While she wasn’t entirely wrapped around her feelings, she knew for certain she didn’t want to live without her Doody.
“But...what if I’m not sure of how I feel? Does that mean he stops being my Doody?” She asked.
