Darla quirked a brow, but decided not to further question it.

“Alright, I’ll get gussied up then. Since we’re traveling in style.” Darla said, still a bit skeptic.

Dewey had finished up with Ace, he was in a nice tailored, charcoal grey suit with a red pocket square. He was wearing the nicest leather shoes he had ever worn, he was wondering what resources Dewey used for all this. Ace felt a bit awkward and out of his realm as he stepped out of the hired G wagon that Dewey reserved for them. It came with a driver of course, a nice Armenia man who seemed excited for Ace in spite of them being strangers.

Ace swallowed the lump in his throat as he stood outside Darlas building. He wasn’t sure explicitly where she lived in terms of apartment unit or etc. So he sent her a simple text that he had arrived and was waiting out front.

Darla had gotten all dolled up, at Dewey's behest, and proceeded downstairs upon receiving a text from Ace. She wore a nice "cocktail" dress she'd worn to a cousin's wedding a few months before. It was red and hugged what little modest curvature she had. She made sure to pair it with a set of pearl earrings and a pearl necklace to make it seem a little classier. She had taken the time to braid and pin up her hair, which made her look at least a little bit older than she actually was.

There better be a horse drawn carriage. She teased Ace via text as she exited the building finally, blinking in surprise when she saw the ride.

"Oh wow...you went all out." She said, her voice caught somewhere between excitement and shock.

“I wish I could take all the credit, I told you my son knows his way around this stuff better than I do.” Ace chuckled nervously. He took the time to eye her up and smiled. “You look, great. Beautiful. Though scrubs would’ve looked just as good.” He said playfully.
