Sasha's brow furrowed (he looked remarkably like his father in confusion) and he shook his head.
"How? I don't have little brother or sister." He said. He knew that both of his parents had brothers and sisters, but he didn't quite get the concept of how that was so.
Adrik gave a little laugh.
"Well...Sasha, when mamas and papas love each other, the mama will make a baby in her tummy. That's where you came from. Sometimes, the mama will make a few babies, which is how you get baby brothers and baby sisters." Adrik explained.

Ashas face fell somewhat but she tried to recover.
“That’s okay, I understand. I wasn’t excited for my siblings, I’m still not excited about one of them.” Asha sighed. “But, you’re going to be a great big brother, and you’ll have lots of time to get ready and feel differently.” She explained. |

"Sobachka, don't say that. It's going to be so nice to have a little sibling. You'll get to play with them, help take care of them, teach them." Adrik listed.
"No, I don't like it." Sasha interrupted.

"I don't like it!" Sasha's whole face crumpled when he realized he wasn't getting his way and he instantly dropped his fork (dramatically) and reached up to cover his face as he began simpering bitterly. "I don't want the baby!"
Adrik frowned and reached over to heft Sasha up.
"Sobachka, please don't cry." He crooned, feeling Sasha arching in his arms.

Adrik sighed and nodded in agreement as he stood with Sasha, who, by that point, had started crying loudly as little ones often do in the face of anything displeasing to them. Adrik lightly bounced Sasha and went outside, finding a seat on a bench in a designated "waiting" area for the diner.
"Sobachka, please, it's going to be much better than you think it will be." Adrik tried to assure.
"No! No! I don't want the baby! I don't like the baby!" Sasha sobbed as he arched away from his father.

| Asha was pretty disheartened, but tried to roll with it. Kids will be kids after all and Sasha would likely forget. She paid the bill before stepping outside to find her screaming child and husband. |

“Sasha, it’s time to settle down now.” Asha said sternly as she reached them. |

Though he stopped screaming, Sasha continued to simper and looked up at Asha with his face shriveled with emotion.
"I-hic-I want-hic-Papa Navrik a-an-hic-and Mama Havi. I don't want-hic-you or papa." Sasha sniveled.
