Emerson climbed into the back and waited for the EMT to get Grey sufficiently strapped down before he reached out to touch at her hand.

"G-Grey...I'm herr." Emerson sniveled.

The ride to the hospital was only a few minutes, but it probably felt like hours when watching Grey in a catatonic state. Upon arriving she was ushered back into a room and transferred from her gurney to a bed, at that point a PCA led Emerson to the waiting room until they were finished getting Grey settled. They gowned her and restrained her before doing some quick blood work, luckily, Grey came to afterward.

The nurse found Emerson in the waiting room before gesturing for him to follow her back to Grey's room.

Emerson had been abandoned in the waiting room for what felt like forever. He'd managed to peck out a quick text to his brother, letting Irving in on the situation, but that was almost impossible considering how shaky his hands were and how rattled his nerves were. He'd never encountered someone having a medical emergency like this, not to mention an emergency involving a friend. It left him feeling downright awful as he waited to for news in the waiting room.

As soon as the nurse came to get him, Emerson was up and hastily following after her, just wanting to see Grey and make sure she was okay with his own eyes.

The nurse led Emerson back and slid open a sliding glass door and curtain to reveal Grey, sitting up in her bed with her oxygen mask still on and hooked up to a monitor.

She looked tired, but still managed a weak wave when she saw Emerson.

Emerson stumbled forward, nearly bursting back into tears when he saw her, but instead of being from panic, they would certainly have been from relief.

"Grey, I was so worried!" He signed hastily, hoping she could keep up before he thoughtfully spoke aloud. "I wuh worried."

"I know, I'm so sorry." Grey managed to reply before patting the foot of her bed for him to sit with her.

Emerson took a careful, but gracious, seat by Grey. He reached out for her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze without much thought.

"Wuh happen?" He asked.

Grey took off her oxygen mask so that Emerson could read her lips, she took a couple of deep breaths before speaking.

"I havea seizure disorder, there's medication I'm meant to take daily to help prevent my seizures. But, I've missed a couple of days. So today, was my limit." Grey said slowly, feeling remorseful that Emerson had to witness the ordeal.

Emerson frowned tightly and raised his hands to sign sharply and stiffly.

"You should have said something to me before! I would have known what to tell the EMT! I could have known what to do for you!" He signed at her.

"I know, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you had to go through that, I know it couldn't have been easy to watch." Grey said with furrowed brows. "It never really came up, and I'm normally very good about taking my medication. But it's no excuse, I know that." Grey explained, making a face.

"Will you ever forgive me?" She signed then.

Emerson watched Grey carefully as she spoke as to not ignore her especially while she apologized. He sat for a few moments, a wounded little expression still on his face through his anxiousness, but upon seeing Grey sign at him, he gave a little shake of his head and reached out to grab her hands, giving them a squeeze before signing back at her.

"Don't be dumb...of course I'll forgive you. I was just really worried. Scared." He signed back at her.

"Never again, I'll be better." She signed with a nod.
