Viktor took a moment to process the idea of meeting another werewolf before glancing to the clock hanging on the far wall of the gym.
“Can you give me ten minutes? I need to shower. But when I get out, we can talk.” He told her. He wanted to know why she was looking for him specifically.

“You can wait on the bleachers, or outside. I’ll find you.” Viktor nodded, taking a moment before he reached up to the girls face to wipe away some stray wetness on her cheek with his thumb. “I’ll be quick.”

Bernadette flushed, though her face was already red to begin with. She didn’t pull away though, merely nodded, believing he would.

Bernadette had made a seat for herself on the bleachers, she had her bag in her lap, chin purched on top while she waited. |

Viktor practically came barrelling out of the locker room, his giant frame narrowly dodging his teammates as he burst from the hallway leading back into the gym. He paused to look around and as soon as he saw the girl on the bleachers, he thundered over to her, waving his arms like there was any chance she’d miss him.
“Hey! You waited!” He smiled.

Bernadette had time to calm down and collect herself, so she managed a smile though unnerved that he was practically stomping toward her.
“Of course, you asked me too.” Bernadette nodded, sitting up straight and setting her bag down on one side of her. |

| “Sure.” Bernadette agreed, padding down the bleachers, her little feet making significantly less sound than Viktors. She had weirdly imagined what it would be like to be invited anywhere with a boy, the fantasy used to excite her but she couldn’t help feeling nervous now as she joined the giant at his side. |

“Bernadette? That’s a nice name, a good one.” Viktor smiled as he took her dainty hand in his. His grip was shockingly gentle for someone who looked like they could tear phonebooks in half. “It’s nice to meet you.”

| “Oh thank you.” Bernadette uttered, surprised at the softness of his touch. She wanted to say something interesting and quirky, like the her mother or someone called her Bertie, or Bunny. Which would’ve been a lie, no one including nannies ever called her anything beyond Bernadette or a slur of Turkish swear words for staying up too late. |
