Sasha’s eyes flashed in anger as Joe roughly handled Sayuri and as soon as he approached and slammed Sayuri’s hand down, he could hardly contain that rage any longer. In the blink of an eye, Sasha’s hand darted out to wrap around Joe’s forearm. He squeezed tight until he could feel the other man’s bones bowing in his grasp.
“Let. Her. Go.” He growled. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Joe immediately yelled out in pain, immobilized by the injury, Sayuri was able to break free from his grasp. Before fully sitting back up, she spit in Joe’s face.
“засранец !” She yelled, copied from what Sasha called him earlier. She then used all her remaining strength to kick him back. This was done clumsily, and the force of which caused her to fall from the table and onto the floor.
By now, Nikitin and company, were in a physical altercation with the Yakuza. There was no way to confirm who was at fault in this moment, and once things became physical, all decorum was lost. Yakuza weren’t as hands on in the assault , pulling various weapons from their coats. The Nikitin’s weren’t unfamiliar with guns and Riley actually made a point to employ the very best gunman. Dewey and Spider had the quickest and most accurate point shooters. But it was important to her that her affiliates weren’t dependent on guns or melee weapons. Most of her family, the girls in it especially, were practiced in a martial art; sometimes multiple forms. So under the guidance of Riley, it was natural the way the footman took to disarming their opponents. From that same guidance, Spider was not as worried over Stasi; if anything he felt sorry for the Yakuza who would get absolutely dropped by her.
Sayuri sort of covered her head when the shooting started, even on the floor she didn’t want to get hit by a stray bullet. She crawled under the table, eyeing the exit between all the moving bodies. This was a Yakuza owned building, if someone has the wherewithal and opportunity to, they can call for more Yakuza and have the building sealed off. No one else gets in, nobody gets out. She crawled to be on the other side of Sasha and reached to tug on his jacket, they needed to go.
Stasi let out a battle cry that was all giddy mania as she reached up to grab her hairpin, yanking it out and letting her hair fall free. Armed, she went ahead and launched herself across the table at a random yakuza, wrapping her legs around his midsection as she stabbed the hairpin into his neck.
Meanwhile, Sasha was reaching for a blade he’d had concealed at his waist under his coat. It was harder to sneak firearms into a country as stringent with gun control as Japan, but Sasha didn’t need a gun to be lethal. He took pause when he felt his jacket being pulled at. He looked down at Sayuri when his shoulder was struck by a stray bullet, knocking him off his feet and down on the floor by her. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Sayuri let out an exclamation in Japanese when Sasha was shot, she scrambled to his side but had little time to fuss over the wound. She did pull her to him under the table.
“We have to go, they’ll send more guys and lock us in here!” Sayuri explained quickly.
Sasha allowed himself to be hauled under the table by Sayuri as the fighting continued overhead. He hissed in pain as he grabbed at his wound, but still looked up as Sayuri sputtered her warning. He didn’t question her, he was sure she had seen them use the tactic before, but he also wasn’t about to just leave his men behind without doing anything.
He got himself upright into a crouched position and braced his good shoulder on the bottom of the table. It was sturdy and heavy, but he was gifted with supernatural strength. Without much effort at all, he thrust the table upward into the air, sending it crashing towards the yakuza.
“все, разбегайтесь!” Sasha yelled for his men, reaching down to haul Sayuri up.
The Nikitin foot soldiers did as they were ordered and began plowing through yakuza, scrambling for whatever exit to the room they could find. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
When Sasha pushed the table, Sayuri used that opportunity to clamor to her feet. She was unsteady, partly from her shoes and part from her physical abuse. Once on her feet she reached for Sasha again, pulling him up and reaching to brace his wounded shoulder for support. Bodies would crowd the exit, they would get trapped. Spider tried to corral some of their foot soldiers, anyone lingering after the order. He even managed to grab Stasi, who was having entirely too much fun with a yakuza corpse.
$ayuri nearly dragged Sasha towards the exit, determined to be the first out the door. She was already thinking about their next steps, once word got out about what’s happened, and it would get out fast, no where would be safe. The yakuza ran the whole city, and they would want to make a show of force after something like this.
Sasha allowed himself to be pulled along and led by Sayuri, after all, she was the one who knew the best getaway route. She’d walked these streets more than him, after all.
“Where do we go?” He asked, running along behind her while clutching at his wounded shoulder. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Once funneled out of the room, Sayuri could hear the heavy footfalls of more Yakuza coming up the stairs. Sayuri wasn’t sure what floor they were on specifically, there were stairs coming up to their floor and another flight continuing to the next. The only way out was going to be up.
“Follow me, I think I have an idea!” Sayuri announced, pulling him up the stairs. Once she rounded the corner from the stairs she kept pace, running down the hall. She could hear more yakuza coming, footsteps not fair behind them. She made a sharp turn down another hall before trying the first door she saw; luckily it wasn’t locked. She pulled Sasha in behind her and slammed the door behind them, she was panting and her feet hurt, but they weren’t out of the woods.
Thankfully this little office was perfect, small and unassuming; it had a window with an A/C unit in it. Sayuri smiled and laughed, though she was still catching her breath with great effort.
“You trust me?” She asked, though it was mostly rhetorical.
“I don’t think I have a choice.” Sasha gave a wry smile, the grin a bit pained at the edges from the ache of the gunshot wound presumably. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Sayuri pushed the window the rest of the way open and pushed the A/C out of the window. She looked out and watched as it crashed onto the ground, it wasn’t too far a drop. Sayuri figured they were maybe the second or third floor.
“Get ready to make a superhero landing.” Sayuri announced over her shoulder before jumping out of the window herself. She’d actually jumped out of many windows before, before even being taken by the yakuza. She got good at jumping from the bathroom window of her parents apartment and rolling onto the grass below. She did the same now, rolling short of the A/C unit she had just pushed out. Letting out a little groan and cough before rolling onto her hands and knees, looking back up at the window for Sasha.
Sasha watched with a wince as Sayuri made impact on the ground. He was sure it wasn’t a smooth landing with all of her bumps and bruises and he certainly wasn’t looking forward to it with the bullet still lodged in his shoulder, but they were out of time and out of options.
Sasha climbed into the window frame and, before he could lose his nerve, he leapt down. He wasn’t wearing the best footwear for impromptu parkour, so his ankles definitely felt the brunt of his impact. He allowed his body to roll forward and he tucked his head down as he rolled onto his unwounded shoulder. With a hiss of pain, he clambered to his feet. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Sayuri rolled her head to look up at Sasha, naturally, he flawlessly executed his athletic feat. She was much graceless but that would be a reoccurring theme. She clambered to her feet and quickly picked up her pace again. She hated the shoes she was in, but it would take longer to untie the straps around her legs and she didn’t have the time to spare.
“I promise we’ll do something about that later!” Sayuri said to Sasha as she led them down what appeared to a one way street. At the end of it, was a brick wall with an iron fence that lined the top. Once she reached the wall, she reached up to grip the iron bars and pull herself up. “You need help?” She asked, calling back to him over her shoulder.
“I think I got it.” Sasha said. He took a moment to size up the wall before proceeding to leap and grab into the top of the brick. With a sour expression and a painful grunt, he worked to haul himself up. His should throbbed with pain, but he still managed. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Sayuri pulled herself over the iron bars then, dropping onto grass on the other side. This was someone’s yard, but Sayuri knew that already. She had many years of watching Yakuza run people over, a lot of time to think about how she’d do it differently. Once in the yard, Sayuri continued and pushed forward, running along the side of this house and stopped at the gutter pipe that went up to the roof. She sized it up and looked back to Sasha.
