Sayuri’s eyes fluttered shut whenever Sasha cupped her cheek and traced her lips; dipping her head to relax into his touch.
“Mm, nothing gets past you.” Sayuri answered back quietly, the edge of a grin on her lips, always able to rise to the occasion if it means teasing Sasha. “If I sleep, when I wake up it will be tomorrow. I just want it to stay ‘tonight’ as long as possible.” She explained, the answer to a question he hadn’t asked yet.
Sasha stared at Sayuri for a beat, then two, before removing his hand from her face, only to wrap an arm around her and pull her closer to him. He folded himself over her, cocooning her with his body, and rested his head atop hers.
"You know...tomorrow doesn't have to be much different than tonight." He said. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Sayuri allowed herself to be enveloped by Sasha, she smiled widely; pleased to be this close, and the notion of being this close again. When Sasha rested his forehead against hers, she closed her eyes and moved impossibly closer to him, pressing her body flush to his.
“You and me, exactly like this?” She asked him for confirmation without opening her eyes.
Sayuri allowed herself to relax into Sasha, tucking her head under his chin and pressing her cheek against his chest. She could hear the gentle thrumming of his heart, steady and even; she wished to listen to it forever. Sayuri had been dreaming about Gifu and a family that wants her for as long as she could remember. But as she pondered her dreams, and what I means to be loved or wanted, the vision of her future transmuted in her mind. The mountains of Gifu rolled away behind clouds, the idea of being wanted was no longer a hypothetical. Home wasn’t a place, it’s a person; her new dream, the place she wanted to be, was anywhere that was at Sasha’s side.
“Do you promise?” She asked him then, an echo of the first promise he had made her.
“I promise.” Sasha replied without an ounce of hesitation and all the sincerity in the world. So long as Sayuri wished it so, Sasha wanted to stay by her side, whether it was just until he reunited her with her family or if it was for the long haul. He hoped, to himself, that it was the latter. “Now, you should get some rest before the sun comes up. We still have a ways to go, right?” _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Satyuri smiled contentedly, allowing her eyes to flutter shut. Her palm on Sasha’s chest, letting the rhythmic rise and fall, and his hearts gentlee beating, lulling her to sleep.

In the morning, not much later than when Sayuri had fallen asleep, the distillery was flooded with noise. It was Botan, it sounded like he was downstairs and probably making breakfast for the day but it was a symphony of steel pots and pans, running water and the chairs being pushing in and out. Sayuri had a somewhat unconventional upbringing, her mother and father were usually just getting home when she was getting ready for school. Both parents would collapse onto their conjoined futon, still warm from Sayuri’s body, and immediately pass out. But she liked to imagine, it was usually the younger being woken by the elders, who were being loud with their morning chores. She found she didn’t mind being awoken this way, it helped too that she woke up with Sasha’s warm body under her belly. She smiled at him, her hair pooling around his face as she looked down at him before pressing her forehead to his.
“It’s tomorrow,” she crooned at him in gentle waking.
It hadn't been all that long since Sasha had dozed off. He'd stayed awake until Sayuri's breathing had evened out and her body fully relaxed on top of his, and then even a bit longer as he took time to admire her eyelashes resting atop her flushed cheeks and the amalgam of beauty spots dotting her face like constellations. The sweat from their exertions had mostly dried, but the little hairs framing Sayuri's face remained curled and even stuck to her temples and cheeks. He'd seen her asleep before, a few times now, but this time he wanted desperately to commit it to memory.
Once he did fall asleep, he didn't wake up once until the sounds from the kitchen floated up to their makeshift sleeping quarters. He could feel Sayuri's body still warm on top of his, her hair tickling him wherever it touched him. He had hoped that if he just ignored the clamor downstairs that he and Sayuri could both sleep a little longer, but when he heard Sayuri speaking to him so softly to wake him up he dashed that idea aside.
"Mm, and it's still you and me." He said to her, eyes still closed as he readjusted his hands from where they'd settled in sleep to run up Sayuri's sides in a lazy, soothing manner. He peeked an eye open at her and smiled. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Whenever Sasha ran his hands up and down Sayuri’s sides, it sent a shiver through and made her bare skin prick with goosebumps. She shuddered and giggled, before settling back against his frame.
“Should we go downstairs and check on Botan?” Sayuri asked him, despite the suggestion of getting up, she tucked her head under his chin and snuggled impossibly closer. She didn’t have a plan for what to do next, but all she could think about was Sasha and how he felt under her.
"Mm, I think that's what we should do." Sasha smiled and allowed his eyes to flutter shut again as he embraced Sayuri's closeness. He made no efforts to move, despite what he said. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
