“I don’t think I do, I just like reading.” Yoo In grinned, lighting up the same way Manon did. Though he was never teased for it by his siblings, it was not a mutually shared hobby. “I like American classics, but I try to read a lot of different things too. Olezka, our roommate, likes to share his favorites with me, it’s a lot of Russian lit. Oh! I like to read the books trending in Korea because the ahjumma we work for has a granddaughter who goes to Yonsei and when she visits it’s nice to exchange books.”

“I like Russian lit, what do you think of Dostoyevsky?” Manon asked.
Manon could talk about books all day, when she was little and her parents would take her to the public library she could browse for hours, she’d meet her family at check out by closing time with a stack of books as tall as herself.
“I haven’t read much Korean literature. I’ve read a couple books from Nora Okja that we’re really good though! I’d love to read more books like hers if you have recommendations.” Manon rattled on happily. |

“The Brothers Karamazov is one of my favorites, but I think everyone says that.” Yoo In chuckled. “I can lend you a few from my collection. I’d be happy to have someone to talk to about them.” He admitted.

“I’ll do that.” Yoo In nodded, though he wondered if Ava would actually pass them along or beat him to death with them. This wasn’t allowed, he was sure, but he didn’t know if he actually care right now. He really liked talking with Manon. “Or, well, I’ll try.” He admitted then.

“Oh, I just know, but, if you look out the window at stops, you can see which stop it is. There’s an overhead speaker system too, but it’s less than reliable.” Yoo In explained. “There’s some maps over there, a bit faded, but they’ll do.” He gestured to the wall across from them. “Your stop should be coming up next, it’ll drop you in Manhattan. I’ll walk you home to make sure you get there in one piece.”
