“Yes, thank you.” Jai smiled before adjusting himself, not hesitating to snuggle up close to Romano. A lot of accidental sleepovers happened because of intense cuddling, he moved Romano’s arm so he could lay on his chest, snuggling close into his side.

Romano sighed contentedly as he reached up to fluff at some of Jai’s fluffy locks.

“I’m really happy you asked me to stay over.” He admitted with a pleased grin, though he allowed his eyes to shut.

Jai sat up a bit, propping his head up on Romano’s chest to admire him properly.

“I’m really happy you agreed.” Jai replied with a soft smile, reaching to mirror Romano’s touch, petting at his hair affectionately.

Romano opened up his eyes, looking up between pale, curly lashes. His smile softened that much more when he saw Jai admiring him. He moved his hand from Jai’s soft pink fluff to grab his chin between his thumb and forefinger. He craned his head down to kiss at Jai’s mouth, soft and sweet.

Jai leaned in, smiling into the kiss as he allowed his chin to rest in Romano’s fingers. His own fingers found themselves lacing through Romano’s hair in place of affectionate pets. Though the gesture wasn’t any less affectionate, it was the intent that was different; subtle but encouraging.

Romano let out a little sigh at the feeling of Jai’s fingers becoming more tangled in his hair, certainly encouraged to keep on with the kissing. He released Jai’s chin to free up his hand, which he then used to rest at Jai’s shoulder so his arm was snaked around the other boy, holding them close. He and Jai were no strangers to kissing, but this felt different. This felt a little more daring.

Jai reveled in the tender kisses, though they were still soft they were definitely different, not that Jai minded it. He allowed Romano to hold him flush against him, his hands now knotted more tightly in Romano’s hair as they kissed; little breaths escaping in between.

Romano let out a little whine at the light tugging at his hair as Jai wound his fingers into his curls. With the sound, he also gave an involuntary shift of his hips, suddenly more aroused than he had been during any one of their make out sessions. He continued with the kissing, though he also worked now to readjust, moving to switch places with Jai so he could be on top of the other boy.

Jai sighed, careful to not break the kiss as he allowed himself to be maneuvered under Romano. His own heart was excited and racing, the kissing getting hungrier now as Jai dared to slip a hand under Romano’s shirt, caressing the small of his back.

Romano sighed at the warm finger tips pressing into his back, encouraging him closer still as he rolled his hips into Jai. He dared to reach under Jai’s shirt then, his own palm skimming over the soft planes of Jai’s stomach.

“Jai...I love you...” Romano sighed into their kissing, fully swept away in the moment and wholly sincere.

Jai moaned quietly at the motion, the feeling of Romano’s hand on his stomach gave him goosebumps but also grounded him. He was breathless, panting somewhat as one hand grabbed Romano’s at the wrist to pause it from going any further. He didn’t want to ruin the moment, but he also didn’t want it to go any further without being upfront.

“I love you too.” Jai answered, still breathy as he looked up at Romano, eyes half lidded and lusty still though he tried to be sober in his next statement. “I love you, but there’s something you need to know.”

“I’m trans.” Jai said. It had taken him many years and tries on different people to say it would confidence, without fear or rejection or retaliation. He didn’t expect that from Romano, but he tried to prepare for it; holding his breath as he braced himself for his reply.

Romano was surprised at the bit of news Jai was dropping, and it certainly showed on his face for the briefest of moments, but almost as quickly as he was surprised, he apparently was faster to work through it.

“Oh...okay. How do you want to do this then? Or do you still want to do this? It’s okay if you’re not in the mood or whatever.” Romano went on with a shrug.

Jai was a little surprised at Romano’s reply, he hoped he wouldn’t be upset but he didn’t expect him to not care. Jai reaches up to grab his face, brows furrowed in confusion as he looked up at Romano.

“Do you not care?” He asked for confirmation.
