“Trust me, sometimes she makes it hard. Not often, but sometimes.” Sal chuckled before letting out a thoughtful hum, rummaging through his memories. “Oh! Maybe Lucinda’s twenty-first birthday. We’d all had our first drinks, and I’m sure our parents knew, but it was fun to drink with the whole family. Dad even drank with us. We had a spear throwing contest. You should see what my dad can do, he’s super cool! He nearly cut a tree right in half and Mama yelled and yelled at us.” Sal laughed as he recalled the memory. “Do you and your siblings ever get into any shenanigans?”

| “I think she’s told me about that before.” Arte nodded with a thoughtful smile, sitting back in her chair. “Heh no. We’re more like roommates than siblings, at least it feels that way more often than not. Remedy’s helped your sister and I sneak out a few times but that’s really the extent of any shenanigans I’ve gotten into with any of my brothers and sister.” She shrugged. |

“Honestly. Have you been around them when they’re together? I’ve never seen either of them so...I don’t know. Relaxed? Happy?” Sal tried. “Theur dynamic is just natural, though I still think JJ could learn to relax.” He added with a chuckle.

“There’s always blood diamonds.” Sal chuckled as a waitress came to their table. Sal out in his order and waited for Arte to place hers. “Can we get two margaritas too, please?” He smiled up at the waitress in a way that was effortlessly charming as always.
