Jer winced, both from the pain in his shoulder and the guilt Roxanne brought when she pleaded with him.

"Roxanne, I'm sorry, I wish I could...I wish I could, but...I can't. I've done bad things before, mon amour. Not now, not in a long time, but...I've done awful things and I'm sorry. I'm sorry for dragging you into it with me. I never meant to do that. I-" Jer paused, wondering if he had any right to even speak to Roxanne. "I really do love you...I love you. I really did want to run away with you and start a life with you. I really did."

Rundin asked in English for a translation, which the translator echoed back to him as Jer spoke.

Roxanne pursed her lips, still shaking her head she began to cry. She clung onto him, burying her face in his shirt.

"I won't let them take you, you're a good man. I love you and I won't leave you." She cried, muffled, into his chest.

"Excuse me, I'm sorry. That's my sister, I don't believe she belongs in this situation. May I take her? We won't interfere with your arrest." A voice asked in somewhat broken, but clear enough english.

Roxanne didn't need to look up from Jer's chest to know it was Riley. She mirrored Roxanne's image entirely other than Riley have black hair in trade for blonde and a couple inches taller. But their views couldn't be more different, somehow Riley reminded Roxanne so much of their Dad. So sure she was always right, about everyone and everything. Riley never liked Jer, and insisted he was trouble. While Roxanne will never agree, not even after today, Riley could use this arrest as leverage as one more thing she was right about.

Rundin looked over to see the brunette reflection of the woman currently hanging all over Jer.

"You're her sister? And who is she to him?" He asked, just trying to get the facts sorted.

"We have one in custody. He's the one who told us where Jeraud. We're going to catch 'the spanish one' soon too." Rundin said, confident his team would have everything settled by the end of the night.

"Great, good riddance." Riley huffed before hugging her shawl close to her body and yelling for Roxanne.

"Sister, come on let's go!" She called.

Roxanne didn't budge, only clung tighter to Jeraud's shirt.

Jer bit at his lip, reaching up to cup the back of Roxanne's head with his free hand while pressing his wound with the other.

"Mon cherie...you...should go with your sister." He said quietly, though it pained him.

"I'll be fine, Roxanne." Jer said, although, he wasn't sure how true that was. He didn't know where he was going to be taken, he didn't know what waited for him, but he was sure that he deserved whatever fate would be bestowed upon him.
