Roxanne had been coming regularly since that first day, bringing letters and care packages for Jer, even though he couldn't open them or use anything she brought. But she insisted 'it's the thought that counts.' She had been coming so often that she kind of fell in routine with Rundin and developed a friendship with him and some of the other staff here at the society. Often she would come around lunch, bringing coffee's, teas and baked goods from the bakery where she worked.

She approached Josephine's desk and placed a coffee and bagel on her desk before asking, "is Rundin busy or may I go in?" which just walking in had become customary, but she still asked.

Josephina had long since become accustomed to Roxanne's frequent visits over the years, she liked to think they had a decent relationship in all actuality. She lit up upon seeing her and eagerly took up the bagel and nodded before gesturing to the door.

"He just finished a meeting, go ahead and go in." She said.

"Thank you, Josephine. Enjoy your bagel." Roxanne smiled and waved before letting herself into Rundin's office.

"Good afternoon, Rundin. I brought chamomile and a danish today." Roxanne said, sitting the cup and to go box on his desk before placing her letter down as well.

Rundin was in the middle of filling out some paperwork when he heard Roxanne. He looked up and gave a little quirk of a smile and then sat up to take the tea.

"Thank you. You're late today." He said, though, really, she wasn't that late by any means. She came every day around the same time like clockwork.

"Sorry, just as I've figured out the transit here there was a delay. Danish should still be warm though." Roxanne smiled, pulling out a chair. "How was your day, today?" She asked then.

"As busy as always. What about yours?" Rundin asked, initiating the usual small-talk between the two of them before he'd give Roxanne some news she would surely be pleased about.

“It was good, busy day at the bakery so I made good tips.” Roxanne boasted with a smile. “I think I’ll pick up flowers on the way home for the dining room, since I can afford it today.” She added, pleased.

"Mm, that's good. It'll be nice when you can have two people with an income, won't it?" Rundin nodded, dropping the subtle hint.

“Oh that would be nice! I might even buy flowers for the living room too, then. Things to look forward to.” Roxanne said with a smile.

Rundin couldn't help but give a quirk of a smile at Roxanne's obliviousness towards his hint.

"What if that day was coming sooner than later?" He asked her.

Roxanne arched her brows and perked up. “Rundin, are you implying what I think you’re impying?” She asked, her grin widening.

Rundin gave a slight chuckle and a shrug.

"We've already started his paperwork for release. Of course, we need a good 'halfway' house with someone who can give us frequent updates and can keep him in line." Rundin said, setting down his tea so he could shuffle some paperwork around before pushing a packet Roxanne's way. "I recommended you."

Roxanne's heart swelled with joy, immediately tears pricked her eyes and she was sniveling.

"Oh Rundin, I don't even know what to say. Thank you, thank you so much." She sniffed.

"Of course. I feel that given his behavior this entire time and the level of trustworthiness you've exhibited will make for a success story in his release, but be warned that if there are any slip-ups, I can't protect him, or you for that matter." Rundin warned.
