After a brief nap all nestled up in Shika's arms, Wyla awoke with a quiet stir and a light stretch before looking across the way to Shika, admiring his soft face as he slept. She gave a small smile and then a little sigh when she began to wonder if he would look this peaceful, this happy after she told him the news.

She reached up to pet at his cheek lightly, as if to enjoy it now. When he didn't immediately stir, she gave another little exhale.

"I'm pregnant." She said quietly to him, like practice.

Shika was sleeping like a baby (no pun intended), dreaming that he was back home with Wyla and Bix. They were at Wyla's house and it looked like a nice Sunday morning, Bix was sitting at the table eating Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes. Shika was flipping them on the stove, having a great time. Wyla entered the frame, she came up behind him and touched his face from behind; it felt real.

"I'm pregnant." She said.

Shika smiled, not registering what she said. But upon processing it, he jostled awake, blinking his eyes furiously.

"What?" He exclaimed.

Wyla's face instantly became a flustered shade of red and she let out a startled yelp as she reached up and smacked Shika's face out of impulse.

Shika let Wyla touch his face, he was still pouting a bit from the slap but remember quickly what was said. "Wait...So you are then? You're pregnant?" He asked again.
