Armand felt his heart jump and he fumbled with his sandwich slightly. What was this question suddenly about? He'd been worried that she'd remember their children, remember that he was lying to her, and he suddenly felt very panicked.

"I...uh...why do you ask?" He asked her.

"Um, honestly? I don't know, we never had kids because we were busy. But, I'm not that busy these days. I might want to have kids." Natas explained with a slight shrug.

But we already have children.

Armand tried not to look too distressed and instead gave a small smile and reached out to place a pat at Natas's knee.

"And I think you'd be a wonderful mother, but we can talk more about all that at a later time, hmm? I want to enjoy just you right now." He said.

Natas sort of pursed her lips but once again, settled for not battling Armand further. "Okay, but I will bring it up later." She warned, taking another bite of her sandwich.

A month or so had passed, Natas and Armand hadn't resumed their discussion on children and infant. But had been sexually active to say the least, but it had occurred to Natas that, there wasn't anything keeping them from getting pregnant? He'd never used a condom, she hadn't seen a doctor about birth control.

Laying in bed one morning, she contemplated this. Armand was up and getting ready for the day in the bathroom, Natas was sort of rolling around in the sheets lazily before popping out of the mass of blankets.

"Armand, have we never used a contraceptive?" She asked, somewhat suddenly.

"Mm, not really. I mostly...ehm...pull out." Armand answered simply as he tried to maintain his focus on shaving. Despite many of his other "standard of living drawbacks", maintaining a clean image was important to him, especially now with Natas as he liked to impress her more or less.

Armand went to say "many years", after all, they'd been together for well over twenty years now, but given he hadn't yet spilled the beans about him being a werewolf and he was still unsure what Natas's "mortal" and nonmagical status was currently, he refrained.

"Awhile, a few years now." He said. "It's worked quite well." He lied.

"That doesn't seem right," Natas said thoughtfully, " I also feel like we've been together so much longer than a few years." She added before flopping back onto the bed.

"Well, it's been a good few years." Armand tried to defend as he finished up shaving. He wet his face, cleaning up any straggling hairs, and pat his face dry before leaving the bathroom and heading back over to the bed. He sat down and proceeded to flop beside Natas. "Should we start using contraceptives?" He asked, reaching out to brush Natas's hair from her face.
