"Thank you, mijo." Armand said, standing up as well. He pressed his lips together as he looked at Amulius before stepping forward and daring to place his arms around Amulius in a firm embrace. "I know you're not pleased with me, Amulius, but know that I care about you as I care for your mother. Even if you and your siblings hate me with a hate that is well deserved, I will always love all of you. I know I haven't said it enough or ever, and I don't deserve to now, but I care for all of you and I want what is best for you." _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Amulius returned the hug, doing his best to not hold on too tightly for fear he would not leave. He pat Armand's back and sniveled as he forced himself away.
"I know, I love you too, Dad. I'll be in touch, if I hear about from the society, I'll relay it for your safety." He said.
"Alright, be safe...please, be safe." Armand said as he reached up once more to smooth out Amulius's hair. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Armand stood for awhile after Amulius had disappeared before letting out a heavy breath and sitting back down on the steps. He was never a particularly "emotional" man, not in the way he expressed great sadness ever by crying, but right then he could feel his eyes growing moist and he reached up to fussily whisk his tears away before they could roll down his cheeks.
He was glad Amulius was safe and he was admittedly pleased to see him (after all the anxiety), but the words he'd said to him only cemented the guilt in his heart. He knew he'd never done right by his children, even when he left he wasn't doing right by them either. He could only hope they'd be alright without him and Natas and he hoped that he could do right by his newest son.
He took a few moments to compose himself before gathering to his feet and going to head back inside the house. He quietly opened up the door and entered the home. He padded through the main room of the apartment and entered the bedroom where he tried to sneak subtly back into bed. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
The better part of year had passed since JJ had his last run in with Armand and Natas and while he'd found it rather easy to find them the first time, finding them a second time was proving to be much much harder. There had been countless tips flowing into the Society in the beginning, but over time things had slowed down and eased up. Almost no one reported seeing the troublesome duo and more than that, their trail was almost as cold as the winter months he spent in Siberia tracking down a bogus tip. Though JJ refused to give up his search for the two most wanted people in the Society, he was ready to put the case on the backburner to focus on the backed up cases he'd put off during his search.
Until he received a lead.
JJ had long since put a few of his subordinates in charge of tailing the Navares children, even his own brother-in-law was watched carefully. And while it seemed that Romulus, Remus, and even Fauna were leading very normal and very Armand and Natas free lives, Amulius, the youngest of the brood, seemed to be up to something.
The woman in charge of Amulius's watch said she saw him often using his magic to blip himself away from time to time, but now it was much more frequent and something about him seemed much more...at ease, which given the circumstances before drew attention.
JJ knew other witches and warlocks and it didn't take long for him to ask one of them to do him the favor of analyzing Amulius's teleportation magic and tracking down where he was going. While Amulius was a fine magic wielder, magic was often universal and it didn't take long at all for the warlock to not only confirm that he was using a transportation spell of sorts, but he was also able to track down where Amulius was going to so often: Rome.
JJ promptly put together a team on the down low and before he could even tell his mother he wouldn't be home for dinner, he was on a jet heading towards Italy with his team in tow.

Natas was almost ready to give birth, which made it almost impossible for Armand to find it in himself to leave her for any amount of time, let alone to spend the day away at work. But still, he needed to support them, especially with the baby so close to being born, so he forced himself out of bed before the sun could even rise for the day and he got himself ready before returning to the bed to give Natas several soft pecks goodbye, even giving one to her plump midsection, and heading off for the day. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Amulius had gotten sloppy, he did his best to not interact with his parents on his 'visits,' but he was sure Armand could sense he was near. He would teleport there once a week or so, just to watch them and make sure they were safe. Sometimes he would leave gifts in their kitchen or on the doorstep; petty cash, books or small baby toys. He just wanted to help out, even if it was very little and without credit. Natas often praised Armand for those things, which Amulius didn't mind. He knew he messed up though, he stayed home and was shuffling his tarot cards, doing a general reading. He had his family in mind as he drew cards, drawing the justice card he felt immediately uneasy.
Of course he was aware he was being watched, he didn't care until he realized his error. They were coming for Natas and Armand. Without any hesitation, he grabbed his clock and staff before warping out of the hut.

Natas sighed sleepily as she rolled in bed before kicking her legs out of the blanks. She sat up, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes before climbing out of bed. As usual, her sleep attire meant being clad in one of Armand's shirts which now fit snugly due to her pregnant belly. She fell asleep with her hair in a wet braid so this morning it was a frizzy mess; loose strands escaping the knot. She didn't mind though, she got up and prepared for her day which included at this point rubbing coconut oil on her belly and reading until Armand got home.
JJ and his team landed safely in Rome and now it was all a matter of canvasing and searching for Armand and Natas. It didn't take too long, shockingly, for him to track down a plausible address and before anyone could have had a chance to run, he and his team were there, waiting outside while JJ tried to peer in. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Natas was blissfully, doing nothing of suspect. She got up and changed into a loose fitting dress before getting situated on their little couch. She had made an acia bowl for breakfast and was just enjoying a quiet morning that would in a few moments not be so quiet.

Amulius didn't feel like it was safe to blip into the house, Natas would be frightened and overwhelmed. So he found Armand who was helping with the construction of a house. He approached swiftly in spite of some workers yelling after him in Italian.
Armand was in the middle of aligning a wall with several other men when he heard the familiar voice of his son. He looked up, stepping away (and earning several curses), and furrowed his brow when he saw Amulius approaching.
"Mijo, what are you doing here?" He asked.

JJ narrowed his eyes when he peered in through a window and found Natas perched on the couch and very much pregnant. Clearly, she and Armand had thought they were in the clear enough to conceive.
He would prove them wrong.
He slipped back to the group.
"She's here, and alone. We need to approach quickly but carefully. We know what she's capable of." He said. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
"Mom is in trouble, they've found her, we have to hurry!" He explained, knowing he didn't have to expand too much.

Natas finished her acia bowl and got up to wash it in the sink but dropped it on the way there.
"Oh darn it..." She grumbled as she looked at the mess past her belly. "Is today going to be a bad day?" She asked herself a loud before getting the broom and dustpan.
Armand felt his stomach sink and he instantly reached out to grab Amulius's shoulder to turn him around so they could both start running to try and get to Natas before someone else could.

JJ and his men readied their weapons for the worst case scenario, but JJ had told them that she was pregnant and they were only authorized to execute brute force if absolutely necessary. As soon as everyone was ready, they huddled around the front door and JJ threw it open and held his gun at the ready.
"Natas, put your hands up!" He hollered. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Natas screamed, she ducked down assuming that she would be shot. But shakily, she raised her arms up but squeezed her eyes shut as she looked away with fear.
