"Keep your hands where we can see them! You're under arrest!" JJ called as he hastily approached Natas, just in case she decided to try and use her magic or in case her mate would show up before he could make the arrest like last time. He gestured for one of the other officers to come help him heft her upright without causing her baby any trouble at the very least before he could pull out his cuffs to place at her wrists.

"I'll cooperate, just please don't hurt my baby." Natas whimpered, offering her hands out to be cuffed. She didn't want to resist at risk of hurting the baby, she'd hope that Armand would reach her soon and a resolve would be reached. There was so little she knew about her crimes, she didn't even know how to respond or behave in this moment.

Amulius hadn't mastered warping another person, at least long distances. But he was about to see ahead; he could see Natas in the house and what was happening.

"They got her." Amulius said without looking at his father. "They're still in the house but they've got her."

"We have no intention of hurting your child, but you both will be coming with us and you will remain under surveillance until we can find your mate." JJ said, cuffing Natas then. He grabbed her upper arm and began pulling her towards the exit of the house.

Armand felt a surge of panic and rage swelling up inside him as he continued his sprinting with Amulius.

"Is she hurt?" He asked.

"No, JJ just told her that she would be under their surveillance until they find you." Amulius relayed, he slowed to a stop, trying to calculate their next moves. "It's too late, we shouldn't go there now. They'll be expecting us there and overwhelm us." He explained as his brow furrowed, formulating a plan.

"What? Then what do we do? She...she has to be afraid, she needs to be rescued." Armand sputtered as he skid to a stop, turning to Amulius.

"No, I know, I know. But we won't do her any good if we're arrested too." Amulius sputtered, ruffling his own hair anxiously as he paced in a circle. "WE have to camp for a minute, I have to watch where they take her and go from there. Then, we can close in, wait for an opportunity or a blind spot and grab her." Amulius tried to explain.

"It's the only way! If you go in there now, guns blazing, you'll be captured too. And I won't be able to save both of you, and that will be the end of your life with Mom!" Amulius lectured.

Armand let out a frustrated sound and turned away from Amulius, only to take up his own anxious pacing.

"She's so close to having the baby...if they cause her too much stress she could go into labor and I don't...I don't know what they'll do." He fussed.

"I know, I know. But it won't help rushing in now." Amulius sighed. "If I had more hands, maybe it would be faster; you should've taught your other kids magic..." He said, mostly to himself as his mind raced over plan A, B and C.

Armand wanted to point out that none of their other children were as apt to magic as Amulius. Something was wrong in the way of Romulus's ability to learn, though Armand wondered if perhaps they just didnt' try hard enough. Remus was too skittish around them to even be taught while Fauna never showed the ability to work magic like her mother. But all this was neither here nor there, all Armand cared about at the moment was getting Natas back and their unborn son.

"When? When do we go then?" He demanded.

"I need them to spread out and separate. If half or more of the men wait for you at the apartment, the men guarding JJ and Mom will be vulnerable. From there if you can create a diversion, I should be able to snatch her up easily." Amulius explained.

"Fine...we'll wait." Armand said, though his words did not sound like he wanted to wait at all.

JJ had brought Natas back to a hotel the Society had procured for them. He took her to the room and let her rest on the bed as he could tell she was quite miserable due to her pregnant belly and all the walking they'd done to get to the hotel. Though he extended to her very modest courtesy, he couldn't help but be on edge around her. This was the woman who almost singlehandedly destroyed New York, potentially the world, and yet...there was something wrong with her.

While JJ was held up in the room with Natas and a few of his subordinates, the rest of the team remained at the apartment where they'd picked her up, waiting to see if Armand would show up to rescue his mate.

Amulius had to get a little creative with their plan. As they waited, Amulius had Armand call the landline at the apartment, leaving a message that he was working late but would bring dinner home. Obviously not, but he wanted the men to think they had a reason to continue to wait there. Once that was marked off the list, Amulius and Armand traveled towards the hotel where JJ was holding up Natas.

"Okay, I can see them. She's alright, she looks scared, uncomfortable...But she's unharmed." Amulius relayed to his Father. "I'm going to try and get closer, I need you to smoke them out of their foxhole...Do you think you could start a fire?" Amulius asked his Father as he sized up the building.

"Figuratively or literally?" Armand asked, eager to just get the job done. In earnest, he'd burn all of Rome down if it meant getting Natas back.
