Lua meandered the room a bit, nodding approvingly before finding the window and admiring all the city lights down below.

“It’s really nice.” Lua decided with a soft smile. She tossed her own bag in a nearby armchair before flopping on her back onto the bed and sighing. Lua wasn’t hard to impress and she cared about few things, but after a six hour car ride, the bed was feeling pretty good on her back. “My bed at home feels nothing like this.” She sighed.

Mishka smiled and went over to the bed, sinking to his knees beside the bed. He leaned over, folding his arms on the mattress and resting his head on them so he could be level with Lua.

“Does it compare to sleeping in the grass under the stars though?” He asked, though he was sure of the answer.

“Nothing is better than sleeping under the stars.” Lua said quickly, turning her head to face Mishka. “This is really nice though.” She admitted.

“I knew you’d say that.” Mishka chuckled, reaching out to push back some of Lua’s hair from her face as she looked at him.

Lua was bashful and awkward in some ways, but strangely not with physical touches. She leaned into the touch, turning her cheek into his palm and closing her eyes. Things with Mishka was easy, though there were moments where one or the other might be self conscious, the other would relieve those feelings. There was never any judgement, only care and curiosity. Even though they were in a high rise building above the city, and Lua was laying on the most comfortable bed she’d ever laid on, her face in Mishka’s hand was familiar enough to make her feel the comfort of her woods and open skies. Maybe returning to the city wouldn’t be such a bad concept.

“I’m sure you’d say you prefer a bed to sleeping in the grass under the stars?” She asked, eyes still closed.

Mishka felt his breath give a little hitch when Lua turned to rest her face comfortably in his hand. Neither of them were necessarily shy with their physical touches, but this felt...different. This felt affectionate, this felt like more.

"I don't know about that." He admitted. "I don't mind sleeping under the stars, especially if I'm with you."

Lua kept her eyes close, but felt her cheeks pink and her heart flutter a bit. While it wasn’t something she was used to, the romantic comment wasn’t discouraged. She smiled a little, rolling on her side to face him better.

“I don’t think I’d mind sleeping under a covered ceiling if it’s with you.” She smiled, opening one eye at him.

Mishka chuckled softly, resting his head on it's side so he could be 'level' with Lua.

"Is that a joke or do you really mean that?" He asked her, his own cheeks a little pink still at feeling the warmth of hers in his palm.

“I mean it.” Lua smiled. “I guess it sounds like a joke though, huh?” Lua laughed a little.

“Only because I know how much you love your woods and those stars.” Mishka smiled back before taking a moment to admire Lua and appreciate the softness in this moment they were having there with each other. “But it makes me happy to know you like spending time with me. I like spending my time with you. I’ve never really had someone I liked...as much as I like as you, Lua.” He pinked again at his confession, but maintained a smile still. It felt right, it felt good to say the words aloud.

“I haven’t really had anyone I’ve liked either, not like this.” Lua replied, her cheeks were still warm. Inspired by Mishka’s bold confession, and acting a bit on instinct, she reached out then. Her own hand cupping his cheek in a similar fashion to how he touched hers, her thumb stroking his cheek gently.

Much like Lua, Mishka leaned into the touch, closing his eyes and relishing the touch for a moment before looking back at her. This moment was beautiful and tender, and so was she. It made Mishka's heart give a giddy flutter.

"Lua...I really like you...sometimes I think...I think I might even love you." He said softly, a bit nervous, but sincere.

Lua smiled, she wasn’t caught off guard by the proclamation. It made her really happy to hear Mishka say that. Lua was someone who did most things on instinct, she didn’t consider there could be a consequence for what she was about to do. A hand still on his cheek, she leaned forward and left the the lightest peck on his lips.

“I think I may love you too, Mishka.” She said softly.

Mishka stilled for a moment, caught of guard in the most wonderful of ways. He stared, eyes wide with surprise at the kiss and at Lua's own matching confession, before a dumbfounded, unpracticed sort of grin crept back onto his face. He wanted to ask if Lua meant it, though he was sure she did, after all, she rarely said things she didn't mean, but it didn't matter anyways, he could hardly muster a word without a giddy chuckle burbling from his lips, surely. Instead, he copied Lua again and stretched forward to kiss her back, though he dared for something just a bit more pressing than a peck.

Lua smiled too, she’d never been kissed before and didn’t have anything to compare it to. But it felt good and right, she pressed back, her hand carefully moving from his cheek to his neck as she leaned in.
