Murphey sputtered a bit and looked up at Biddy with arched eyebrows as he scooted out.
“Again? Biddy, what do you mean again?” He asked, sitting up.

Murphey, though in a hurry, paused to help Biddy to her feet before buzzing off to the bathroom once she was vertical. He went to the sink and opened up the cabinet below, pushing aside some toilet paper to shine his light in there. It wasn’t nearly as bad, but in the corner of the cabinet he could see some mold spores popping up.
“Oh, Biddy, this isn’t good.” He said, reaching up to run a hand over his face.

“What?” Murphey turned to look at Biddy in a little bit of bewilderment. “Biddy, our baby is due in like...three weeks. You shouldn’t be cleaning up black mold, it’s not good for you in the first place and it’s extra not good for Alby.”

“Even if I did clean it, your landlord should get someone in here to really clean it.” Murphey said with a sigh. He would have suggested putting Biddy up in a hotel until the cleaning was done, but with her being so close to her due date, he didn’t want her somewhere uncomfortable. It wasn’t like she had family to stay with either.
Though... wee baby Alby did. Murphey was her father and that meant he should and would make sure she and Biddy were taken care of no matter what.
“Biddy, I know my place isn’t the ritz, but you could always stay with me.” He suggested.

“I’m not much for roughing up, but I promise we’ll figure things out.” Murphey nodded, undeniably brightening at Biddy’s agreement. He was surprised at himself at the subtle giddiness he felt, but he wasn’t that surprised at the same time.
