“I do try.” Murphey shrugged and offered a small smile. “I guess I better help you pack up shop again, huh?” _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
“You don’t, but wee baby Alby has quite a bit more thanks to spoiling grandparents.” Murphey chuckled, which was true enough even just considering everything his own parents contributed. From the time Biddy and Murphey has told them, Claire had knit several outfits for their daughter and Eoghan even crafted a bassinet for her to sleep in (though Claire warned that if Alby was anything like Murphey, she’d grow out of it in a blink). _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
After taking Biddy out to dinner, Murphey placed a call to her landlord to do a "shake down" of sorts, requiring them to get the apartment thoroughly cleaned at their expense rather than his or Biddy's. After that, he'd done just as he'd said and helped pack up what they could before the day burnt too low. He left Biddy to pack her own necessities, but packed up the bulk of baby Alby's furniture and things on his own.
He'd called his father to come with a truck so they could move what they could, and needless to say Claire was over the moon that Biddy and Murphey were finally "making it right". He gently had to let his parents down, though, Claire seemed pretty positive still that it would happen in all good time.
He and Eoghan loaded up the truck and made plans to come back the next day to get the rest of Biddy's things, lest they be exposed to whatever method of cleaning her landlord went through with. Since it was only the bare necessities, unloading the truck happened much quicker than packing and loading. Murphey and Eoghan moved the heavier stuff into the house while Claire helped with the lighter tasks, including fawning over Biddy and her magnificent belly. Once everything was in the house and situated, more or less, Claire and Eoghan bid their goodbyes and left the twosome to their own devices.
"Do you think we should put the changing table in the bedroom, or do you think we should put it in the office? I mean...I still have to clear out the room, but I could put it in there in the meantime." Murphey said as he eyeballed the changing table sitting in the living room area for the time being. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
