Emerson jolted upon seeing Grey's exclamation, eyes widening then.

"Seriously?" He asked, glancing down to her stomach before snapping his head back up. "Pregnant?"

"Yes, it's our baby...At least if you want it to be?" Grey asked then, trailing off again frowning slightly. It was definitely unexpected, but Grey wasn't planning on not keeping the baby. She had spent part of her day making peace with the possibility that Emerson wouldn't want anything to do with it (although she couldn't imagine).

Emerson shook his head quickly, reaching for Grey's hand to give it a squeeze before signing at her.

"Grey, I'll do whatever you want to do. If you want to keep the baby, I'm one hundred percent behind you." He signed.

Emerson gave a little smirk that offered both his nervousness as well as his sincerity. He reached out to cup at Grey's cheek and leaned forward to kiss her.

Grey smiled into the kiss, she could feel her eyes getting wet. She wasn't sure if they were sad or happy tears, both?

Grey and Emerson had just finished dinner, she wasn't feeling super good (nauseous) so while Emerson finished cleaning up, Grey posted up on the couch and was applying cocoa butter to her tummy. While laying on the couch she was looking around the room, sort of scoping out the different things they needed. Safety covers for all the outlets, bumper rails for the coffee table, safety locks for anything that opens. There was room in the corner for a toy box, or maybe a rocker? And where the recliner was she could see replacing with a nursing chair.

It occurred to her then, she'd only bought a few outfits and gotten some free bottles from trial mommy subscriptions. She got up and made her way back into the kitchen and touched Emerson's shoulder to get his attention.

"Hey, should we start planning a baby shower?" She asked aloud as well as signed.
