Viktor’s face became even more heated and his heart gave an excited leap in his chest when Bernadette looked so softly up at him through her lashes. He swallowed the nervous bud in his throat.

“Bernadette...Id like to kiss you, if that’s okay.” He uttered.

Viktor took a steadying breath before leaning down to press his lips to Bernadette’s.

He’d never kissed a girl, at least not outside of the way of familial kissing, so he was a bit clumsy, but the spirit was there. He moved his hand to rest at the back of Bernadette’s neck instead and he moved his mouth softly against hers in a way that made it feel like his heart was going to jump clear out of his chest.

Being that Bernadette hadn’t kissed someone before either, she had nothing to compare it to if it was clumsy. The interaction still made her heart race and her stomach flutter. She placed a hand on his chest, carefully clutching the fabric as her lips moved against his.

Viktor allowed himself to be swept up by the kiss and dared to edge his other hand to Bernadette’s side, gently coaxing the both of them down on the mattress to get more comfortable (or so he “thought”).

Bernadette laid down without much coaxing, lost in the heat of the moment. (Bahahaha) She didn’t even realize her own hands were traveling, back of his neck, down his sides and under his suit jacket.

Viktor let out a pleased little breath when he felt Bernadette’s hand on his skin. Without thinking, he moved a hand to her thigh to reciprocate the “good feeling”. His fingers danced along her leg and even dared to slip under the hem of Bernadette’s skirt a little, though, that’s where he took his pause.

He came up for breath from the kiss and looked down at Bernadette all rosy cheeked and panting.

“Bernadette...I...is...this too much?” He asked.

Bernadette panted, a breathy whimper when Viktor pulled away but she collected herself as best she could, prepared to stop if that’s what he wanted.

“Ah no, is it too much for you?” She asked.

“No.” Viktor gave a breathy little chuckle and smile as he gently shook his head. “I...I like this a lot, I just wanted to make sure you did too.” He said, already leaning back down. He brushed his nose against hers and allowed his lips to just gently graze hers. “But, if you want to stop, tell me. I’ll respect what you want.”

“Okay, I’ll let you know if I change my mind.” Bernadette began. “But I don’t want to stop.” She breathes against his lips.

That was all it took. Viktor smiled and leaned back in.

After it was all said and done, Bernadette and Viktor ended up doing a whole lot more than sharing a New Years kiss as the ball dropped. Viktor was behind Bernadette, his chest to her back and their legs a tangled mess beneath the sheets. He had an arm folded around her, his hand gently clasped around her wrist and his thumb rubbing soft circles at her skin.

“Are you okay?” He asked, his lips brushing at the shell of her ear as he held her.

“Yeah, I’m okay.” Bernadette sighed, relaxed by the softness of his touch as he traced circles on her skin. “Are you okay?” She asked, turning her head slightly toward him.

“I’m more than okay.” Viktor chuckled as he placed a kiss at Bernadette’s face when she turned to face him. “Was it okay for you?” He asked her then (because of his massive dONGER).

It was Bernadette’s turn to chuckle then.

“Yes, it was okay for me.” She said, placing a light peck on the bridge of his nose.

Viktor gave a playful little click of his tongue at Bernadette’s chuckle.

“Well, I don’t know. That was my first time doing anything.” He said to her. He took a moment then, simply admiring her as she laid close to him, and reached up to smooth some of her hair. “We should get up now though. We missed the midnight festivities and my parents will probably start wondering where we are.”
