“Hm, like what?” Lua asked quietly, stifling a yawn as she reached up with a free hand to grab his; lacing her fingers through his. Her hands were not soft, even in her human time, her time was spent climbing trees and rigid hillsides. Her skin was plenty scarred and callused, and often when she held hands, she would hold on too hard. But Mishka never made her feel bad about it or like it was wrong, she she never shied away from touching him or holding him in any capacity.

"Well, I suppose about plans for the future, hopefully even the near future." Mishka said, settling back against the headboard as he ran his thumb over the side of Lua's palm.

Lua paused thoughtfully, trying to guess what Mishka might mean. “Do you have a doctors appointment today? We could get lunch before, maybe.” Lua pitched with a week shrug. Mikhail kicked his little feet in retaliation at the sudden movement.

"No, nothing like that." Mishka said with a soft chuckle, his voice just a bit quieter for the sake of Mikhail. He untangled his fingers from Lua's just to stroke the gentle slope of the babe's nose to soothe him. "I was just thinking that maybe it's time we left this apartment. It wasn't supposed to be permanent, so why not?"

Lua looked up at him quizzically, but she didn’t quirk a brow or pull a face. It was more in the way that she looked at him. Lua had followed Mishka’s lead on everything before now, but was he really sure about this?

“You mean, leave the city?” She asked for clarification. “Move out of this apartment?” She asked again.

“Yeah, I think it’s time.” Mishka nodded, sure of himself. “I want us to be able to actually settle into a new home, one that’s permanent for us. Establish roots.” He explained. He reached back out to pet Lua’s cheek again. “Plus, I think we could use a little break after everything, before settling into a new place. Go on the road with Mik, like we did for our honeymoon.”

Lua studied Mishka for a moment, if this was a joke, then Lua didn’t get it. But if he was being serious, she was elated, though her face was unlikely to convey it.

“Are your, doctors okay with it?” She asked then. “Like you’re cleared to travel, whatever that means?”

"I'm not sure, honestly, but I feel okay." Mishka gave a weak little shrug. "I just want to get back to a life that's more normal, one that doesn't revolve around....well...what happened." He frowned tightly at that, his fingers that had been lightly treading over Lua's cheek stopped.

Lua was quick to grab his hand as it stopped on her face. Unblinking and in that serious tone, the Lua always maintained, she looked to Mishka before speaking.

“Then we’ll go.” She said with a short nod, meant to be reassuring. “We’ll pack up and take off, Mikhail will love it.”

Mishka blinked, taking a beat. He had learned that there was no room for doubt with Lua. She always believed in him and was ready to follow him. Even after the incident, she always made sure to express her trust in him and his recovery, so her reaction wasn’t truly surprising.

A soft smile made its way onto his face.

“You’re sure?” He asked.

“I trust you.” Lua began with her own weak shrug. The shrug was only meant to reassure Mishka of any uneasiness, because it was true that Lua did. “If you’re ready, than I’m ready too.” She added.

"What about Mikhail? Do you think he'll be up to it?" Mishka asked, looking down to Mikhail, who, as if he had heard his name, was quietly laying between his parents, eyes wide open and looking back up at him. Mishka grinned down at the babe and reached down to pet at his round cheek. "Good morning." He cooed.
