"He should've been more careful! Minha pequena lua, if he'd knocked you into the street you could have been struck much worse!" Nevandre said as he looked back to Lua, cupping at her cheeks again. "I am glad you're safe, but I'm furious that you're hurt."

Mishka winced and embarrassingly shuffled forward to set down the package on the table that Nevandre had left.

"It could've been anybody, it was just me today. It's New York, Papa, that's just how it is here." Lua shrugged again. "You're package made it here though, that's good news." She tried.

Nevandre frowned still, glancing as the boy shuffled passed him.

"You...you're Rundin's boy, aren't you? You look just like him." He pointed out to the boy.

Mishka frowned.

"I am." He managed.

"Well...tell Rundin to put training wheels on your bike unless he wants someone else run over." Nevandre scolded, earning a wince from Mishka, before returning to his fussing again. "Go back up to the hotel, Lua, wash your face and change your clothes. I'll be up after signing some things."

"Papa, be nice." Lua scolded before kiss her Dad on the cheek. "I'll be quick so we can go meet Mom and Jackson. Nice, meeting you stranger." Lua said then, shifting from Nevanre to Mishka before skipping away.

"Yeah, nice meeting you too...be safe." Mishka said, flushing slightly as he watched Lua skip off. He looked to Nevandre and gave a little dip of his head. "I'm sorry, I'll be more careful."

Nevandre was quick to shrug the young man off and went back to the table, dismissing Mishka without a word.

Trips to the city were becoming more routine it seemed, her Dad always needed to be there for work. But it seemed like her Mother was going to start partnering with her Dad in terms of publishing her work, which was great. But being in the city made Lua tired, the kind of tired you couldn't sleep off. Weirdly, the concrete hurt worse under her bare feet than the crunch of anything in the forest. There weren't any trees, or lakes or creeks, no animals; normally she would just quietly complain to her brother who was often sympathetic. But he opted to stay home this trip, needing to do some work things, 'I may come up later.' He offered, but Lua was still disappointed, the city was a lonely place for how busy it was.

She was looking forward to holding up in the hotel until her parents were done with meetings, but her Dad reminded her she had to go to The Society. Her ID was expiring soon, and while Lua didn't seem to take it that seriously, Nevandre wasn't interested in hearing from Rundin in any capacity. Knowing she had a tendency to get lost, Nevandre called a cab for her; Point A to Point B, no room for mistakes. But she exhaled heavily as she kicked the cement outside, muttering in displeasure.

Mishka had just finished up a job running some papers and had just locked up his bike outside. Things were as same as they ever were for Mishka Dalca. He was hardly the type to adventure outside of his routine and while this had always felt fine to him, there was a strong sort of longing to do something different, at least ever since meeting that Lua girl.

He couldn't explain it, not in a way that made sense to even himself. There was something about her that drew him to her in a peculiar way. But he hadn't seen her since the last time and he didn't anticipate seeing her again.

Until he saw her pacing outside of the Society building.

He blinked and looked around, wondering if he was imagining things, but when she still remained he cocked a brow and proceeded over.

"Excuse me?" He spoke up.

She turned her head, a sort of sudden jerk toward the voice, before making direct eye contact with her coffee colored eyes. It was the boy from before, that hit her with his bike. What was his name, was it Michelle? She made a slight face, uneasy that she forgot as he seemed to approach her.

"Yes? Hello." She replied, turning to face him then.

"Hey, um, I don't know if you'd remember me. I'm Mishka, I...ran you over with my bike." Mishka greeted, immediately embarrassed by his own choice of greeting. "I'm sorry, I should have just asked if you needed any help or something. Not said...that."

"Oh! No, I remember you, I forgot your name. But I remember you, and I remember you hitting me with your bike." She assured. "Um, I don't think I need help? I'm supposed to renew my papers but, I don't really feel like it." Lua said simply with a shrug.

"Papers? Oh, you mean your ID? Why not?" Mishka blinked, surprised. He didn't think it was THAT tedious of a process.

"Oh, that's right, you're not a fan of...all this." Mishka made a vague gesture around them, meaning the city. "Well...if you want, I know someone in upper management, so to speak, and we can get you process expedited and get you out faster." He offered, leaving out the part where his father was the one in charge of the Society.

"Alright, um, come with me then?" Mishka said, gesturing to the door then. "You came alone?" He asked, glancing around for the mean man who was Lua's father.
