"So like, tandoori chicken or-" Grey passed, feeling a wetness between her thighs. It was a lot, it actually got on Irving quite a bit given she was laying on him. Her eyes were wide, startled. "Oh Irving...My water just broke." She said to him.

"My water, the amniotic sac, the baby is coming. I'm officially in active labor." Grey rattled off, panicked and already flustered.

"I will." Emerson signed before going to stand up, lit up with a smile. "Thank yoo.'

Despite his own panic, Irving shook his head when he heard Grey starting to freak out.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's alright, right? You just started and a lot of women stay in labor for awhile, so you're probably not even gonna have to go to the hospital for awhile even. We'll just call Emerson, have him come home from work, and we'll get you there when the time is a little closer." He rationalized.

Grey frowned, but nodded with her eyes all big and glossy.

"Will you call him?" She asked.

"I will." Emerson said before waving back and going to exit the house, proud of himself immensely.

Irving fumbled for his phone, his panic betraying him then, and he dialed to facetime with his brother.

Emerson had barely made it to the door when he felt his phone vibrating. He pulled it out of his pants pocket and held it up to find his brother's name and picture on the ID. He answered.

"EMERSON, COME HOME NOW." Irving hurriedly signed and spoke.

Emerson blinked.

"I'm...on my way? But I'm coming from Grey's parents' house. I wanted to talk to them and-is everything okay?" He cocked a brow.

"Oh. Fuck." Irving muttered.

"Nothing. Nothing. Um...something." Irving turned to Grey, making a slight face. "Emerson's not at work...he went to your parents'."

Grey just stared blankly for a moment before her lip began to quiver, she then let out a loud and long sob.

"He's ten hours away, he's gonna miss it and I'll have to do this by myself!" She began crying.

"IWVIN, WHAT GOING AWN?" Emerson demanded when he noted his brother's face.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's going to be okay." Irving said to Grey before turning back to his brother on the phone. "Grey's gone into labor. She's fine, but-"

"BABY COMING?" He sputtered before quickly turning where he stood to rush back into the sitting room where Marnie and Alister were. "GWEY'S HAVING THE BABY."

Marnie and Alister had already turned to each other and were having a conversation when Emerson burst into the room. They both looked wide eyed and surprised. Marnie took initiative though, standing up and grabbing her keys off the mantle.

"We'll have to take the plane." She said frankly before nodding at Emerson to follow her as she jogged out of the house.

"I'll call the pilot and meet you there." Alister called after her, already taking out his phone.

"I'm so sad, I don't want Emerson to miss it..." Grey continued to cry.

Truthfully she was feeling fine, no contractions yet or any pain. She just knew once the water was broken she was in for a quick labor, there was no way Emerson would make it.

"Grey, he's gonna get here, please, stop crying." Irving said, watching as his brother bobbled the phone as he rushed out of the house (or so it looked like). "In the meantime, why don't we get you up, showered, and changed, huh? I'll clean up the couch while you do that and then we'll head to the hospital."

"Don't be a baby, Grey, you've got a baby that gets to be a baby showing up soon." Irving playfully scolded, hoping just to lighten the mood of the situation.
