As usual, Grey and Emerson had plans to fill their whole day. Since her impromptu hospital visit, Grey felt the need to makeup for it. They had just finished a closed captioned Amazing Spider-Man, starring Grey's boyfriend Andrew Garfield. They were going to take their weekly picnic afterward but Grey made a miscalculation of where her mouth is and spilled her soda on herself.
"Oh crud!"[/i] Grey exclaimed as her root beer soaked through her shirt. She turned to Emerson to sign, "I need to change, maybe take a quick rinse. Would you mind going down stairs and getting started without me? I don't want to waste daylight."
But downstairs, someone was already getting started. Since their meeting in the Science Lab weeks ago, Kisa found her and Elaine kept running into each other by chance. After those first initial run ins, it wasn't by chance anymore but completely intentional. She found that the atmosphere surrounding Elaine was completely different from Grey's. Of course Kisa liked some qualities about Grey, but Elaine was...She was just different. Something about her eyes, or how soft her skin was; she was otherworldly in comparison to Grey in the best way.
By now, Kisa already considered herself in a relationship with Elaine, she saw so little of Grey anymore.
They were standing there in the kitchen now, laughing about something Elaine said. Whether it was funny or clever, it was easy for Kisa to find a reason to laugh or smile when Elaine was talking.
"Good job, yeah, I'll go get started." Emerson teased with a grin before he went ahead, going down the stairs to get to the kitchen.
Emerson felt extremely fortunate to have this day with Grey, or, well, all of his days with Grey, but part of him felt bad that he was spending all this time with Grey when Kisa, Grey's girlfriend couldn't seem to find the time for her. Even today, when Grey had offered the invite, Kisa didn't seem very keen on it, moreover, she seemed...almost deflective towards Grey. It made him sad mostly, but it also made him a bit angry, mostly because if he was so lucky to have Grey as his girlfriend, oh man...he'd be the richest man in the world.
"Yeah, but needless to say, that's the last time me and Mama ever took Papa out for sushi." Elaine giggled, finishing up her story as she sat perched on the counter, smiling in admiration as she looked at Kisa.
While they hadn't made anything official yet, Elaine considered herself very much involved with Kisa. At first, Kisa seemed rather cold and cut off, but after awhile and some insistent prodding, Elaine got to see another side of Kisa, a much softer side that drew her in so that she could observe Kisa as a whole. And man were things going swimmingly.
"So...what are we doing today?" She asked. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Kisa chuckled, shaking her head at the end of Elaine's story before moving toward the counter and placing her hands on either side of Elaine before looking up a her.
"I was thinking, there's a book fair and farmers market going on downtown, I'd like to take you to that." Kisa began thoughtfully. "And after that, tonight, if you're free...Maybe I could take you out for dinner?" She offered up.
"Let's get started then." Kisa said, taking one of Elaine's hands. "Although there's a fee, it will cost you one kiss." She said playfully, placing her index finger on her lips.
"What? Noooo, that's so unfair." Elaine giggled, reaching out with a bashful little smile to grab at Kisa's hands. "One kiss?" _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Elaine let out a dainty little sigh as Kisa's lips made impact. It was a dainty and cute sound that was not at all like the awful screech that came from Emerson's mouth when he stumbled upon the scene in the kitchen. _________________ Butts n' butts n' butts n' butts.
Kisa found herself lost for a second in the kiss, kissing Elaine wasn't like kissing Grey. Both were pleasant of course, but in different ways. Kissing Elaine was so peaceful, her touch brought Kisa so much clarity. She felt safe and at ease around Elaine in general, but that feeling away upon hearing and awful screech.
She spun around quickly, still holding one of Elaine's hand. Upon seeing Emerson standing there in the doorway, Kisa's heart began to pound and she could feel herself sweating. All this time spent with Elaine, Kisa may have forgotten to actually break up with Grey. So Emerson, her best friend, seeing this was bringing her some anxiety. Kisa wasn't a player, not in the traditional sense. She didn't know how to sneak or hide, juggle lovers; she didn't want to, didn't mean to. But it was too late and it didn't matter.
"Emerson...Hey, what are you doing here?" Kisa asked, doing her best to sound normal and casual even though Emerson couldn't actually hear her.[/i]
"He's a friend...Actually, wait here a second, please? I have something I need to ask him." Kisa said to Elaine before crossing the room and signing what little she picked up from Grey.
