"Yeah...I guess I know how that feels now, to lose feelings for someone." Elaine sniffed slightly as she gave a little headshake. "I'm leaving." She said.

"They were downstairs, but I don't know if they're still there." Emerson said. He reached out to place a hand at Grey's arm, reminding her he was there.

"I understand." Kisa nodded quietly, wiping at her eye.

Grey contemplated confronting Kisa and the other girl. But she wouldn't have known what to say, or even if there was anything left to say.

"I want to leave." Grey signed.

"D-don't try to call me, o-or text me. I don't...I don't want to see you anymore, Kisa." Elaine sputtered despite her best efforts to sound strong.

"Okay...we can leave. Where do you want to go?" Emerson asked.

Kisa nodded quietly, of course she wanted to see her again but understood why after this she couldn't. Given the situation, she just wanted to be able to respect what Elaine wanted now.

"Can we go to your house?" She asked.

"Of course." Emerson signed before going to wrap an arm around Grey's shoulder reassuringly. He gave her a squeeze before going to lead them out of the room and out of the house.

Grey practically fled the house, making the briefest of eye contact with Kisa as she was coming in the back door and Grey was leaving out the front with Emerson. Kisa sighed, covering her face in her hands; of course Emerson told her. That's what a good friend would do, Kisa wasn't surprised but almost relieved. She wasn't prepared to have two hard conversations in one day.

Meanwhile Grey was not relieved. She was embarrassed and angry, she sniveled all the way to Emerson's house, holding back an angry, hysterical sobbing. What did this mean about her living situation? Was she single now, had to be, there was no way she could forgive this. Grey's mind was racing and she felt dizzy by the time they stepped into Emerson's living room.

Emerson ushered Grey over to the couch, noticing how upset she looked the entire way over.

"Do yoo wan wahter?" He asked aloud.

Grey shook her head, hugging her arms.

"Could I take a shower?" Her signing slow and unclear.

It took a minute for Emerson to understand but when he did, he quickly gave a nod and moved quickly to go grab a clean towel for Grey.

Grey signed thank you before heading to the bathroom. She went ahead and turned on the shower while waiting for her towel from Emerson.

Emerson scurried on back to the bathroom and handed Grey her towel.

"I'll be in my room, just come get me when you're done." He said to her.

Grey simply nodded, after he left and shut the door she undressed and climbed into the shower. This was her second rinse of the day, she didn't need it. But it was the only thing she could think to do instead of Emerson having to watch her be sad all day, at least he couldn't see her in here.

She sat down, hugging her knees as the water extinguished all her curly hair. Grey couldn't say she was terribly sad, mostly humiliated and angry. Should she had suspected it right away when Kisa mentioned a friendship with someone new? It didn't seem fair since Kisa wouldn't have had to worry about Grey's friendship with Emerson, and she didn't seem worried. How did this happen so suddenly? Or rather for so long?

It didn't matter. Grey just needed to focus on what to do next. She could move into the Portland house, transfer there? Or tough it out and show Kisa that if anyone should leave, it should be her. If she should transfer, what about Emerson? They were kind of all they had, each other..

Grey turned the heat up and continued to let the water rinse off the horrors of today so she could focus on tomorrow. Fifteen minutes passed and she was starting to feel better, or perhaps the hot water scalding her skin was starting to hurt more. After shutting the shower off and climbing out she started to feel like she would fall apart again, maybe that's just what needed to happen. She stepped out and found Emerson in his room but she couldn't bring herself past the doorway, hugging her arms again she began to snivel and whimper.

Emerson had waited patiently in his room, flipping mindlessly through a book as he tried to occupy himself. He chewed anxiously at his lip as he wondered if he did the right thing. Was it okay that he'd been the one to deliver the news that so obviously wounded Grey? Was it right for him to deal that blow? He wasn't sure, but it was too late now.

He let out a shaky little breath and set down his book, getting up from his perch on his bed to go to check and see if maybe Grey was out of the shower yet. He went to the door and opened it up, jumping slightly when he saw Grey.

"Hey...are you okay?" He asked her.

Grey shook her head, pouting her lip as she began to sob. She tried to sign but spoke as well though she wasn't sure he could read her lips properly as she cried.

"Can I stay with you for a little while?"

"Yeah, for however long." Emerson signed and nodded firmly before reaching out to place his hands at Grey's shoulders. "Don't cwy."
