“Mm, maybe my favorite sister. Asha has a few years on the rest of us and was kind of a bully growing up. Of course I don’t hold it against her now, but it definitely made a gap between us. Lucinda has always been our little pal. She’s always liked playing with me and our brothers.” Sal nodded. “Do you have a favorite sibling?”

“Of yours? It’s definitely Lucinda.” Arte joked with a chuckle before pausing. “Uh not really, maybe Remedy? We all do our own thing but she always checks in with me.” She said with a little shrug.

“It’s not JJ? He’d be wounded to know that he’s not someone’s idyllic number one.” Sal joked. He often razzed JJ himself, but in truth he liked him. He was good with his sister and was certainly showing himself to be a good father in the making.

“JJ is his own number one.” Arte laughed before offering another piece of croissant out to Sal. They were coming up toward the museum now, and Sal was right, it didn’t appear very busy; especially for Manhattan. The museum was on Fulton street, right in the center of the market. There were boutiques and various eateries on either side and naturally several buildings under construction, such is life in the city.

Sal took the piece in the same manner as before and as they came up, he pulled away from Arte only so he could get his wallet to pull out the two folded up pieces of printer paper that had their tickets on them. They went to the entrance and were let in and were directed to the entrance of the exhibit. By this time, Sal had re-offered his arm up to Arte.

"Now, when we get in there and we see that guy from the advertisements, you have to promise me you won't fall for him. Remember, I'm your date." Sal teased.

“I was gonna say we should take a picture in front of him.” Arte said.

This was very much a place Arte felt comfortable and even excited to be. She retook Sal’s arm with less hesitation, pulling him ahead with some eagerness. Nabbing some more pamphlets from the entrance, she unfolded one unceremoniously.

“Where should we start? Skeletal system? Fetal development?” She asked, barely looking up.

"This seems more like your dance, so I'll let you take the lead." Sal chuckled, pleased to see that he'd done well at picking an activity Arte seemed to be really enjoying. "It says they have some animal things." He pointed at a section on the pamphlet. "I'd like to look at those at some point." He nodded.

“Why don’t we go there first? I don’t want the whole day only seeing stuff I want to see.” Arte said.

"But I want to make sure you get to see all the things you want to see. You said skeletal or fetal? Let's go take pictures of the fetal stuff and send it to Lucinda. Come on." Sal chuckled as he began towards what looked like the right direction according to the map on the pamphlet. "We'll go check out the animals last."

“Okay.” Arte agreed without argument. She smiled wide and pulled Sal along toward the fetal exhibit.

After spending a few hours looking at the different exhibits and sending a few pictures that only served to annoy Lucinda (which maybe the only reason they were annoying was because they came from her brother with a few of his own chosen jokes), Arte and Sal were wrapping things up at the museum. It had been a pretty good date, at least in Sal's opinion. He'd had a good time and it seemed like Arte had enjoyed herself as well. She was starting to lighten up around him, which was refreshing and honestly a little exciting for Sal.

They were just finishing their tour and Sal was crouched down to take a picture of the goat display. He wondered if he could get a playful rise out of his mother or father. Perhaps it would just be his father as he was the most sensitive between the two of them. He stood up when he was finished, saving the picture to his phone, and went back over to Arte. She had been on his arm nearly all day, save for the times she wanted to get close to the exhibits, but as the day went on, she had allowed them to settle closer and closer together and at the end of the day, Sal found himself tucking her to his side, arm comfortably resting at her shoulder, which was the position he returned to when he rejoined her.

"Are you sure you got a good look at everything?" He asked her.

It could’ve been she was distracted in her element, but it seemed pretty sincere that Arte was getting more comfortable wit Sal. Between dragging him around by the arm all day and making playful jabs at him. When he came up and draped his arm over her shoulders, she didn’t flush or shrink away.

“Mhm, I think so.” Arte nodded, she’d been scrolling through her phone when he walked up, checking that she got a picture of everything she wanted to from today. “What about you? Get a good look at all the animals?” She asked.

"I did. Did you see the giraffe? It's crazy that they could plasticize something that big." Sal commented with a chuckle. "We should get one more picture together out front to commemorate another good date." He suggested.

“Yeah, sure! Just out front you think?” She asked for confirmation, leaning down to throw her book bag over her shoulder, ready to head that way.

"Yeah, maybe in front of one of the advertising banners." Sal said, grinning at Arte's own sort of eagerness. He walked along with her. "So you think it was a good date then? You had fun?" He asked her.
