Shika still hadn't met Wyla's parents after all this time. Given he didn't have a lot of experience in relationships, so he hadn't really met a significant other's parents before. That being said, he was feeling very nervous as he walked holding Wyla's hand, to meet her parents for the very first time. And her being very pregnant, with twins, he was feeling less confident about them liking him. His head was spinning, nothing about him seemed like it was going to win points.
He was currently working in New York, his job is broadly being an artist, they hadn't been dating long and he didn't have a ton of experience with babies. He was sweating, color leaving his face even though he was already so pale. But he had to do this, he wanted to purpose to Wyla soon and he didn't want to do it without at least meeting her family and representing himself to them. |

Wyla quite literally waddled alongside Shika, her plump belly hidden beneath a loosely fitted dress, which was one of the many outfits she was favoring now days as she still had yet to announce her pregnancy to her parents. Sure, she was only four and a half months along, but being pregnant with twins was a big secret that was just as big as her belly.
So Wyla and Shika sat down a few days previous and made the decision to introduce him to her parents and to announce their pregnancy by the way of inviting her folks to a lowkey picnic with themselves and Bixley.
Bixley had trotted ahead to the little picnic area Shika had set up not too long ago, eager to dig into the treats Wyla had packed in their basket while she waited for her Nanny and Poppa, AKA Louise and Philip Briar, AKA Mom and Dad.
Wyla glanced over at Shika and gave him a little smile when she saw how flustered he looked despite trying to swallow his anxiety.
"Dads can smell fear, did you know that?" SHe teased.

Shika whined and furrowed his brows.
"No, I didn't. I should've guess." He groaned. "I'm so nervous, Wyla. I feel like they already don't like me and we haven't met." He admitted. |
