Irving couldn't decide who he was more mad at as he frantically rushed into Babies R Us for the last minute gift for his brother and Grey's baby shower. Grey and Emerson for having planned a last minute party, the baby for being the reason for the party, or himself for having waited all week to get a present.

Probably some culmination of the first two options.

He hurried inside and instantly began buzzing in circles, not sure what to grab. Did they have a registry? Probably not since it was so last minute. Did he ask? Also no because he couldn't be bothered.

It was nearing the end of his shift and August couldn't wait to punch out. He was somewhat infamous in his family for taking on temp jobs or in general rotating jobs every month. But things had been decent at Babies R Us, no one bothered him and he liked the hours. Which were overnights, he unloaded shipments and did stocking overnight into the mornings; he liked it because he could get off and still have the whole day to do whatever he wanted.

A handsome young man like August probably had lots of plans during his day. He was fair skinned with black hair that all sort of rested in his face by default. He had sleepy hazel eyes and naturally pink lips that were often commented on by strangers as, 'delightfully androgynous.' All that being said, in actuality, August didn't have any friends; he didn't really want any. And his free days were often spent 'spring cleaning' for the fifth time this week, gardening, or knitting during his favorite dramas.

He was already wondering about the last episode of Boys over Flowers as he opening the last box from his pallet.

Irving was running around when he accidentally bumped into a figure stooped over a box.

"Shit, sorry, sorry. I wasn't looking, not even going to lie." He sputtered.

August let out a little 'oof' but was not easy to knock over at his size. He stood up and dusted himself off.

"That's okay, that's what I get for being on the floor, right?" August said before adjusting his name tag. "Is there anything I can help you find today?" He offered.

August looked around before back to the man. "All of this stuff, I suppose. But uh...Well, diapers are always a safe bet. They're going to need a surplus of those within the first year and a half." August shrugged.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, but like, I need a good gift. This is my first niece or nephew and some shit hit the fan with our folks so I really gotta get something good." Irving explained.

"Well, depending what your budget is, a crib or car seat are really ambitious gifts. Or baby swings are nice too, not super expensive. Or you could make it more personal and get one of those onesies that say, "my Uncle is the shit," or something to that effect." August offered.

"No no, it's like, it's like this." August began before pointing to some on the shelf. "They can get pretty high tech, but they're just like little hammocks. You strap them in and there's a button to regulate the speed it swings, most have little sound machines to soothe baby to sleep." He explained.

"Thirty dollars." August answered, pointing to a little brown and orange one that had been embroidered with foxes and hedgehogs.

"God this kid is breaking the bank...but I guess I can get that." Irving sighed. "Clothes, what are good gender neutral clothes? My dumb brother and his dumb girlfriend haven't told me if they're having a boy or a girl yet."
