"For our wedding or our 'honeymoon'?" Phlox couldn't help but beam at the thought of them getting away with just the two of them. In the two years they'd been together, alone-time wasn't exactly something that was experienced all that often.

"Both, I don't see why we couldn't do like a destination wedding just us, like a family trip. And then traveling somewhere also special just us." Jack suggested. "Maybe do drastically different places, so we can enjoy the best of both places? Like, one place snowy and one place tropical?" He offered.

Jack always wanted to be married, as much as he thought about what kind of husband he would be he never wondered what his wedding would look like.

"I don't care where we get married, as long as I get to marry you." Phlox beamed as she gave a shrug of her shoulders. "But for our honeymoon, I always thought Mexico or somewhere beachy would be nice."

"Oooh, that's a good idea. Would you want to do Cancun? Maybe a cruise or something like that?" He asked, feeling eager about all the possibilities. "How far would you want to travel? Especially with our two littles, flying could be stressful, so would being stuck in a car. You know Lilith never pees at the rest stop." Jack asked, trying to be realistic as well.

In spite of all his theatrics and impulsiveness, when it came to finances Jack was an incredible saver. He didn't have a great affinity for material things, most of his weapons were family heirlooms or relics although he did have to buy and pay for ammunition when he couldn't barter for them. But knowing what his savings looked like, he didn't feel bad about splurging on a wedding and their honeymoon. Especially if it was for something Phlox really wanted.

"Why don't we get married close by then? Then maybe, if Black's willing, we can leave the kids with him for a few days and head out on our own." Phlox suggested.

"We could just do it up by the lake, it's a bit of a trip still but we could take the train. I bet the kids would like that?" Jack offered.

That Saturday, Jack packed up the family early morning. He made everyone bagel sandwiches for the road before heading to the train, headed up to the lake for his wedding. Jack remembered the first time he got married to Chrysanthemum, she didn't want any theatrics, it was a simple courthouse affair. It was raining and it was in the summer, so it was muggy rain day; neither of them dressed up. But this felt right, it was a beautiful day out. Partly cloudy but still plenty of sun coming through, a gentle breeze to keep it cool. Jack couldn't help but grin as he admired his children, peering through the window on the train as they watched buildings turn into trees as they sped by.

Phlox couldn't be more pleased with her life, especially within this particular moment. She was off to marry the man she loved alongside the children she loved and things, so far, were going without a hitch. She was currently dressed in her usual day-to-day clothes, but hung up beside her was a simple little white dress she'd managed to get her hands on just days before the wedding. Though she was dressed plainly, she'd gone out to get her hair and makeup done, deciding to go the whole nine yards for her special day. She'd never cared about those things before (I mean, who would when you're blind?) but today was special and she wanted to look and feel special, which she very much did.

She held Lazlo in her lap, beaming as he cooed eagerly at the passing scenery, smacking his hand against the glass by his sister's head.

"You look pretty Mommy." Lilith had remarked to Phlox, who she considered her Mother by now. There wasn't really a need for a flower girl or anything, so Lilith decided she would be in charge of pictures. She had a little disposable camera tied around her neck with some old shoelaces. She was quite proud of it and had been taking some pictures already.

Jack wasn't very dressed up, he certainly didn't want to look better than the bride. But he cleaned up better than normal, his hair was slicked back and he was wearing a button up and dress pants, his tie was navy with flowers on it (Lilith's choice). He was wearing his signature bomber jacket still, but it looked like it belonged somehow.

"Thank you, I tried not to look as ugly as usual." Phlox joked. She reached over with a stretch to smooth back some of Lilith's hair. "Are you excited to go spend the day up at the lake?" She asked.
