"Hey, Jace, thanks again for covering Mitch's shift, I really didn't want to have to do a double." Murphey called back into the kitchen as he headed out into the front of house. He reached up to take off the hat he usually wore while on the line and tousled his dark hair a bit before putting it back on and flipping the bill backwards.
It'd been a long morning working in the International House of Pancakes, but Murphey had somehow made it out alive and was grateful to have Jacey Rae come in to cover a call out (although he was usually the one calling out with all his drama). He was looking forward to hitting up his favorite cafe for a real cup of coffee on his way home and running the few errands he had before officially starting his days off. He was hoping to just lay low and kick back over the next few days, but unbeknownst to him, that would not be happening.
As he headed for the door, he happened to catch a glimpse of a familiar set of obscenely large blond curls perched in a booth. He had to do a double take because, no, it was impossible, right? There was no way his one night fling would be here in Demont of all places.
Or was there?
He hesitantly made his way over to the booth, curiosity getting the better of him. If anything, he could do a quick flyby and go out the side door or something if it wasn't her.

| Biddy closed her phone, deciding to rethink a message later. She stood up and put some money down on the table before gathering up her things to go before looking up and meeting eyes with, no there was no way, Murphey? |

Murphey reeled back a bit when the woman in question stood up, but he stopped his reeling when he realized that it was in fact-
"Biddy?" He blinked.

| "Uh well, I'm visiting." Biddy said, it was a lie of course, at least kind of. "Yeah, I'm on a sort of vacation, I'm headed north but uh, I'm posting up here a couple days." She said. |

"Oh...well...you know, you never called back about that coffee. If you want, I could maybe...take you out for that sometime? WHile you're here?" Murphey asked, though he immediately regretted it. Maybe she hadn't called him because he was bad in bed or it was weird or - the list was endless.

Murphey nodded before taking the lead and heading out of the restaurant.
He stayed in a little house downtown, not too far from work and not too far from his parents (nerd), so he typically didn't drive anywhere unless it was absolutely necessary.
"Do you mind walking?" He asked Biddy.
