After breakfast the walked down the street to walgreens, Grey bought said pregnancy test and held the plastic bag and receipt in her quivering hand. Grey was already sweating but took a deep breath.
"Thanks again, Emerson is at work so I'll go home and take this." She said. |

Irving did just that, calling in so to speak, and while his teacher didn't seem all too happy, it wasn't an argument he was going to win by any means and he "gave permission" (not really) for Irving to skip.
The duo made their way back to Emerson and Grey's place, Irving instantly making himself at home as he flopped onto the couch.
"Alright, better go pee on that stick or whatever." He waved at her.

"Okay, I'll be right back." Grey called, headed straight into the bathroom.
She followed the instructions carefully and diligently. She set the timer on her phone and patiently waited to read the result. After the two minutes were up, Grey had talked herself down into thinking this would obviously be negative. Much to her surprise upon checking the test, it read 'positive'. Grey felt all her anxiety catch up to her and instantly, threw up in the sink. |

Irving was still settled right in, having turned the TV on even to watch Dance Moms while he waited for Grey.

Grey's head was spinning and she didn't feel well all of sudden, she turned the faucet on to start rinsing the sink. She gargled some mouthwash before taking a deep breath and looking at the test again and not throwing up this time. She opened the bathroom door and poked her head out.
"Irving." She called. "It's positive." |

"What?" Irving called back, not hearing clearly over the TV. He poised to turn it down and stretched to look over the back of the couch towards the bathroom door where he could see Grey's head poked out.

"Excuse me, did you say it was positive?" He asked, wondering if Grey was just pulling his leg.
