“You have two extra curriculars? Don’t people usually only have the one?” Yoo In asked as the train came to a stop and let people off. He reached over to place a hand on her shoulder as not to lose her as people unloaded.

“Uh right now...like five but they rotate.” Manon nodded, dropping her bag on a seat. “Are you in school?” She asked.

“Ah, no, I dropped out.” Yoo In admitted. Between maintaining a job to pay rent and doing work for the Factuon, Yoo In felt like school was the most important thing in his life. “I’d like to get my GED someday though.”

“No, not really. I always liked playing soccer though. Sometimes, after school and if the field was free, me and my brothers would play around.” Yoo In explained. “It surprises me you aren’t homeschooled like Ava is. Aren’t your parents worried after everything?”

“They are, but nothing’s happened at my school yet. No testing or lists, no mention of supernaturals. At least not yet.” Manon explained.

Manon looked a little confused at the question. “I mean, I like my extracurriculars. They’re fun.” Manon said, though it’s something she’d always done so maybe she found ways to make it fun.

“Mm, well I really enjoy reading, there’s a used bookstore in our neighborhood I like going to that has a little coffee spot inside. Sometimes they host shows for new musicians, I like going to things like that.” Yoo In nodded with a little grin. “No one ese really likes to go with me, but that’s alright.”

“Oh I like to read!” Manon piped up happily. “What do you like to read? Do you have a favorite book?” She asked eagerly.

Manon loved to read, but it was something Ava teased her for, so she wasn’t sure it was considered a fun activity.
