Sal had rarely had a purely romantic conquest like the one he had with Arte and he had to admit that it was certainly a nice change of pace. He had dated girls here and there, but none he took an earnest interest in the way he did with Arte. Though it was still early in their budding romance, Sal often thought of Arte and wondered what it would be like if they did build a future together and what it would look like.

That being said, the days after their first date were painted in shades of rose. He was a bit bolder, though in soft ways, with her. He wasn't afraid of touching her hands or running fingers through her hair, he relished the soft, mistaken touches of their bodies brushing passed one another in the close quarters of the shop. There was also a bit more intimacy in their conversation, Arte a bit more open and seemingly more at ease around Sal. Things were nice, but Sal was certainly looking forward to moving even further along in his conquest with Arte with their second date.

Sal was running from the nearby subway stop after getting caught in a broken down train. He had meant to show up before Arte, but was losing faith that that was going to happen. He was wearing a dark blue, short sleeved button up shirt with little pink buds printed all over it. Havania must have brought him on set for a shoot because he was wearing an out of character pair of tan chinos with the cuffs rolled up that showed off a rather tasteful pair of wingtips that made his outfit as a whole look a bit studious.

"Hey! Sorry I'm late!" Sal called out as soon as Arte and the coffee shop came into sight. He jogged the rest of the way over and smiled down at Arte, a bit breathless from all his running. "Sorry, there was a little bit of a delay with my train." He explained before giving Arte a good up and down. "You look cute."

Arte looked startled as Sal came running down toward her. Whenever he stopped breathless at her side. “It’s okay but uh, why are you wearing JJ’s pants?” She asked with a little smile, feeling comfortable teasing Sal here and there when it felt appropriate. Slowly the reserved and apathetic Arte was opening to as someone who could be excitable and witty.

"Please, your brother wishes he could wear something this stylish." Sal joked right back. He liked the playful side of Arte, though, he liked all the sides of her. "Did you wait long?"

“Not too long, I’m early anyways.” Arte shrugged. “Still getting used to the train system?” She asked. Arte new that there wasn’t a place in Aurora that wasn’t walking distance beyond their home in the woods to town.

"Yeah, but today the train actually broke done for a hot second. Thankfully it wasn't too packed. I can't even imagine what it would have been like if I was stuck crammed in there with the morning transit crowd." Sal lamented before gesturing for the coffee shop entrance. "Did you get to look at the menu at all while you waited?" He asked as he went ahead and opened the door for Arte.

“Yeah, I looked.” Arte nodded, though not specifying that she looked the night before online. She slipped in front of Sal, walking into the cafe but not far ahead of Sal. “What train did you take? The A?” She asked over her shoulder.

"Yeah, that's what I usually take whenever I come to this area so I don't have to finesse through too much traffic." Sal explained as he stepped alongside Arte with one long stride. "What do you think you're going to get? Their vanilla latte is really good." He pointed out.

“I was just gonna get a flat white and a chocolate croissant. Are you gonna get the latte?” She asked.

"I think so. I'll let you try it if you give me a bite of your croissant." Sal offered with a wink and a grin.

“You’re so weird.” Arte sighed, moving away from his hand. The twosome got in line and ordered once it was their turn. While waiting, Arte went ahead and dropped her book bag on a nearby chair, shrugging her shoulders and stretching after doing so. It was a heavy bag, she wanted to say she brought them in case she got stood up, but she brought them with her most places.

"Did you think you'd be so bored on our date that you'd have to study?" Sal teased as he looked at the bag Arte dropped.

“No, it was in case you stood me up.” Arte said. “Actually, I wanted to be able to make comparisons and take notes of anything special we saw at the museum.” She admitted.

"Don't even joke like that. I'd never stand you up." Sal clucked his tongue. "It's supposed to be a really neat exhibit. Informative and cool to look at." He nodded.
